Oh wow -- just seen while watching the NFL: the Kinks "Picture Book" in a Hewlitt-Packard ad. What an awesome song.

OK, fresh from using "Nothing But a Heatache", I've just seen a KFC ad using "The End of the World" by Skeeter Davis.

I just heard Sixpence None The Richer's recording of "There She Goes" in a commercial for a birth control pill that reduces the risk of STD's, and I'm puzzling over the placement of it in that context. what exactly is the message here - "there she goes, there she goes again, having unprotected sex with multiple partners"!?

Reworked version of fucking "Mambo no. 5" (the Lou Bega version) used in the Courts campaign in singapore. Incredibly annoying.

I remember when FOX played Interpol during its NFL pregame show last year and Pfork scoffed at the idea of a miniscule indie-rock/football fan demo - ASSHOLES LOTS OF INDIE-ROCK FANS LIKE FOOTBALL!

Chairman ROFLMAO (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 21 October 2004 06:27 (twenty years ago)

I'd guess it's only shown in the Tyne Tees area, but there's an advert for the Metro Centre which has a song that sounds suspiciously like Microdisney.
