the synths and programming on everyday is still great 10 years later. most influential record in his catalog? i'd say so anyways. sort of between idm as ambient house and the current idm.

not sure how it's his most influential, as it's one of the least-heard. they only made 2k of these, no? even the Warp mp3 store doesn't sell it. foogin' brill either way.

I was sure they were selling it.

Yeah, this was a great one. I really thought he was going somewhere interesting at this point, and then when the RDJ album came out it was like he blew it, went too far.

The drill'n'bass genre should have consisted only of this, the Come To Daddy EP and some of the Venetian Snares' output. Everything else is tawdry and obvious.

oh yeh - that ep too. and maybe "royal astronomy" by µ-ziq, but really why make a whole genre out of one little experiment someone decided to release as a joke. No, wait...

writing off Squarepusher's entire catalogue seems a bit obnoxious, but then i guess his catalogue is too

µ-ziq rendered all other glitchcore obsolete with 'johnny maastricht' last year anyhoo

"Get me another tie, get me a shirt, get me a nice teddy."

A nice teddy? Is that what she says? I thought it was "Get me another wooly" but that makes even less sense I guess.
