"6 year-old bitch" by black nasty

rssgnld's, Friday, 3 September 2004 00:18 (twenty years ago)

Oh, the Liz Phair one is "Flower," and it says "You act like you're 14 years old." But then it says "I just want your fresh young jimmy," so draw your own conclusion.

"Do You Love Me Pt.2" by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 3 September 2004 00:26 (twenty years ago)

Onward! And Onward! And Onward I go
Where no man before could be bothered to go
Till the soles of my shoes are shot full of holes
And it's all downhill with a bullet
This ramblin' and rovin' has taken it's course
I'm grazing with the dinosaurs and the dear old horses
And the city streets crack and a great hole forces
Me down with my soapbox, my pulpit
The theatre ceiling is silver star spangled
And the coins in my pocket go jingle-jangle

Do you love me?
Do you love me?
Do you love me?
Do you love me?

There's a man in the theatre with girlish eyes
Who's holding my childhood to ransom
On the screen there's a death,
there's a rustle of cloth
And a sickly voice calling me handsome
There's a man in the theatre with sly girlish eyes
On the screen there's an ape, a gorilla
There's a groan, there's a cough, there's a rustle of cloth
And a voice that stinks of death and vanilla
This is a secret, mauled and mangled
And the coins in my pocket go jingle-jangle

Do you love me?
Do you love me?
Do you love me?
Do you love me?

The walls in the ceiling are painted in blood
The lights go down, the red curtains come apart
The room is full of smoke and dialogue I know by heart
And the coins in my pocket jingle-jangle
As the great screen crackled and popped
And the clock of my boyhood was wound down and stopped
And my handsome little body oddly propped
And my trousers ride down to my ankles
Yes, onward! And upward!
And I'm off to find love
Do you love me? If you do, I'm thankful

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 3 September 2004 00:28 (twenty years ago)

joan jett - i love rock'n'roll

Zappa, "Brown Shoes Don't Make It"

Only thirteen, and she knows how to NASTY
She's a dirty young mind, corrupted, corroded...
Well she's thirteen today, and I hear she gets loaded

If she were my daughter, I'd...
(What would you do, Daddy?)
If she were my daughter, I'd...
(What would you do, Daddy?)
If she were my daughter, I'd...
(What would you do, Daddy?)
Smother my daughter in chocolate syrup,
and strap her on again, OH BABY!
Smother that girl in chocolate syrup,
and strap her on again!
She's my teenage baby, and she turns me on,
I'd like to make her do a nasty
on the White House lawn!
Smother my daughter in chocolate syrup,
and boogie till the cows come home!

On the boy side, Rufus Wainwright serenades a 'beautiful queen of 17' in "The Consort"

tremendoid, Friday, 3 September 2004 02:29 (twenty years ago)

I think The Archies' "Seventeen Ain't Young" is really the pinnacle of the form. It's sort of like "1-2-3 Red Light," except presented as a rhetorical argument rather than a rape threat, which is nice. Also, it's the only ballad on the 10-track "The Archies" CD I own -- the one you could only find sold in grocery stores, where Archie's hair is colored black, even though the lettering is in reddish-orange -- and it's track 9, the perfect placement for the linchpin ballad. Combine that with fidelity mysteriously superior to every other Archies CD I've heard, and you have the best CD I've ever owned.

Jesse Fuchs (Jesse Fuchs), Friday, 3 September 2004 02:40 (twenty years ago)

Hope You don't mind - Johnny Dowd

I love you a thousand ways by Lefty Frizell is at least jailbait related as he wrote it to his wife while in jail for having sex with a 14 year-old fan.

billy g, Friday, 3 September 2004 02:43 (twenty years ago)

Divide & Conquer by Tesco Vee's Hate Police, which I am now going to attempt to type from memory:

Girls in the malls they travel in threes
If I ain't mistaken that one's for me
Gotta peel them off the herd
If you wanna wet the dirty bid

Pink [something]! Peaches and ream!
Know just how to void my pearly steam!

Those firm casabahs that the old ones lack
With mouths like fuckin' suckin' hoover vacs
Gotta get them buck and alone
If you wanna bwanna bury your bone

Tiny pushup bras made from eyelids of yaks
Nipples to the heavens Jack and that's a fact

[something something]
Extricate and straddle, power shower her gums

Girls in the malls they travel in threes
If I ain't mistaken that one's for me
Boogie quick when I am through
Cos they're 15 and I'm 32

DJ Mencap0))), Friday, 3 September 2004 08:25 (twenty years ago)

Captain Beefheart, "Crazy Little Thing"
Patto, "Hold Me Back"
Jim Croce, "5 Short Minutes"

In the first two, the singer worries about being arrested, and the third is written from the vantage point of his jail cell!

Myonga Von Bontee (Myonga Von Bontee), Friday, 3 September 2004 08:43 (twenty years ago)

I can't believe I forgot Fine Time (even though it's not expressly about underage sex, just about someone "too young," /pedantry)!

Dadaismus (Dada), Friday, 3 September 2004 12:28 (twenty years ago)

Surely there are some sung by women about boys (or even about other girls?) Help.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 3 September 2004 12:34 (twenty years ago)

Mark (MarkR), Friday, 3 September 2004 12:50 (twenty years ago)

go away little girl - some old cheezwhizz

The Jackson 5 covered this. At that time a female younger than Michael Jackson would have to be in diapers still.

j.lu (j.lu), Friday, 3 September 2004 13:17 (twenty years ago)

Mancini's instrumental for Kubrick "Lolita" ST "Lolita Ya-Ya" is pretty sick.

Elmore James did one called "The 12-Year-Old Boy" I believe is the title--he stole away Elmore's chick.

John Fredland (jfredland), Saturday, 20 January 2007 14:37 (eighteen years ago)

The lyrics to "Under This Blanket" - a song from 1993 by the Norwegian band Chocolate Overdose, featuring Even Johansen (Magnet) on vocals among others, containing perhaps the creepiest lyrics ever written about this subject:

Under this blanket so cold.
She's five years old
And it's just here, she's so bare
And blood runs through the centre of my body

She has got my family name
Everything is just the same
And it's near and it's here
And blood runs through the centre of my body

Now she sleeps, doesn't dream of sheep
But between all creeps, she's the queen
Now she sleeps, doesn't dream of sheep
But between all creeps, she's the queen
My little baby

Now only dolls will see this
And there won't be no sound
Show no fear, no tiny tear, and I love her
We could have been great - so great

Now she sleeps........

In retrospect, I guess Gary Glitter's lovesongs such as "I Love You Me Love", "Always Yours" etc. fit into this thread. The references weren't obvious enough to notice by then, but we know by now....

Are you old enough?
Should you be in here watching that?
And how old are you?
Are you owning up?
Should you be in here with?

Frogman Henry, Thursday, 27 September 2007 13:02 (seventeen years ago)

connoisseurs of jailbait songs should check out the new shivaree record "Tainted Love" - all charming songs by folks like:
R. Kelly "Half On A Baby"
Gary Glitter "Hello Hello I'm Back Again" - that one _needs_ to be on this list
Michael Jackson, Chuck Berry, etc. etc. etc.

it's pretty demented (and good)

skordalia, Thursday, 27 September 2007 13:22 (seventeen years ago)

A couple more for the older-woman side of the equation: "Maria" (Hampton Grease Band) and "Love On An 11-Year Old Level" (GTOs).

D9d I miss Young Girl by Gary Puckett? That one's creepy enough to have been written from experience. And that entire Gary Wilson record, You Think You Really Know Me. Weird stuff. I'm also fairly sure half of all the songs Brian Wilson wrote dealt with underage girls.

sonofstan, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 21:52 (sixteen years ago)

Is Wire's "From The Nursery" about a molested child coping through transference by projecting the experience onto a beat-up doll? The lyrics are abstract enough I could be reading them 100% wrong.

dad a, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 21:54 (sixteen years ago)

"There must be 50 ways to make excuses to yourself....."

The age of consent where I live (New Jersey) is 16. The Beatles would have been fine in the Garden State.
