Help me listen to these new CDs: order of play, info, recommendations?

So here's what I just borrowed:

Damien Rice: O
Minor Threat: Complete Discography
PJ Harvey: Uh Huh Her
N.E.R.D. : Fly or Die
Nuggets from Nuggets (1 disc compilation of the compilation)
Ghost: Hypnotic Underworld
Bad Brains: Banned in DC

In just about every case, I got these because ILMers recommended. Now I have passing knowledge of a few of these (PJ, Bad Brains, NERD) but I'm mostly clueless. Where should I start; what are good tracks to start with, info on the bands, where are the duds, what kind of music should I expect/avoid/love.

Help a brother out.

I also got Nellyville and Esquievel! but I don't need help with those...

Listen to the Minor Threat one. Then listen to the Bad Brains one. Then listen to the Minor Threat one again. The listen to the Nuggets one. Listen to Minor Threat again. Snap the N.E.R.D one in half and use the shards to slit Pharrel's neck. Throw the Damien Rice disc at the window. File the Ghost disc away, never to be listened to (unless you're having a hard time sleeping). Go exchange the new PJ Harvey album for one of her first three albums. Listen to the Minor Threat one again.

We ask for help because we like to get input, not to show off.
These are not buyers, these are borrowers and time is somewhat of the essence, so I'm looking for suggestions as to where my time is best spent. Also, after listening, I'll have a better sense of whose opinion I jibe with better, making it easier to take people more or less seriously in the future.
