Most of them are pretty patchy but I think all the ones I've heard have had some great songs on.

But the real nuggets of early UK Punk was the Cherry Red 2xLP Burning Ambitions.
Granted BA has many of the hits, but like, how many of them became the "hits" because of Burning Ambitions.
There's a lot of punk on the Hyped2Death Messthethics series, but of the more DIY/arty side.

I picked up the 3 "Burning Ambitions" CDs this year along with the 2CD expanded "Live From The Roxy" and "Farewell To The Roxy" comps. The occasional duff track is easy to ignore in light of all the great one-off punk tracks from 2nd and 3rd tier bands.
