Making a mix-tape for a stalkee named Heather, are we? Ah yes....been there, done that. Heather B. (not the rapper from the Real World). Alas, we dated briefly, but all the mixtapes in the world couldn't keep her interested in the likes of me.

That's all well and creepy, Alex, but this doesn't aid in my quest for a heavenly Heatherly, uh, mix CD. And no, this has nowt to do with stalking.

Wild Mountain Thyme? THere are loads of version so you should find a top notch one. (sometimes it's called 'Will ye go, lassie, go'.

Heather Angel, by Sonic Youth. Already got 1 SY track, but you can't have too many.

Sanatorium, The Cunts Name Is Heather. If things start to go wrong.

I think the Carpenters have a song called Heather,

Leonard Cohen has a song called Dear Heather on his new album.

If you just want the word heather, there are lots.

Paul Mcartney and Wings - Mull of Kintyre (and Paul did 'Heather')
Annie Lennox - Dream Angus
Simon + Garfunkel - Scarborough Fair/Canticle
THe Pogues, Young Ned of the Hill AND Patis St Germain
Jackson Brown, Time Travel Fantasy
John Denver, Foxfire Suite
Van Morrison, Steal My Heart Away. If she likes Morrison though, probably not worth it. He did also do 'Purple Heather', as did Rod Stewart.
BEE-GEEs, Gimme a smile
Nazareth - Beggar's Day and Rose in Heather

I'm still amazed people think presenting a mix to someone where the recipient's name is in the title of all the tracks is a good idea.

Johnny Fever (johnny fever), Friday, 24 September 2004 03:10 (twenty-one years ago)

How could it not be. Now, Johnny be good, and don't kick a hole in the sky: It's Johnny's birthday and bleaachheask

I'm still amazed that people waste their time making mix tapes or mix CDs at all. Especially to impress chicks. Especially rock critics who do this, when they should be spending that "mix tape time" at the gym because they're geeky fatasses.
