Ned, you obviously haven't heard his fretwork on their classic take of "Three Blind Mice"...

We had a thread on this, I searched but couldn't find it. It didn't generate much discussion beyond "WTF???" as I recall. But it was a few months back, easy.

i haven't heard his fretwork either, but i assume it is "blistering".
fretwork is always "blistering".

I bet it didn't mention how his tone on "You Can't Sit Down" inspired John Wetton ca. "Larks Tongues".

the kerry rock scoop was in all the papers quite a while back. none of them that i read caught the wetton connection, but they all had the scoop on the current political affiliations of his ex-bandmates, who were pretty much split down the middle, some of them having been big political influences on billie joe armstrong and others having clearly influenced ted nugent.

fact checking cuz (fcc), Friday, 24 September 2004 03:10 (twenty-one years ago)

From St. Paul's School - Concord NH (where they almost all go on to Hahvahd)

The same school that also brought you The Foul Dogs, circa 1970.

Oh my god. I have never -- even among local shitty punk and ska bands -- EVER heard playing that embarssing.

David Allen (David Allen), Friday, 24 September 2004 04:12 (twenty-one years ago)

The Electras version of "Action Woman" is a staple of any decent garage compilation, anyone know if J.K. played on it?
