Can anyone think of an occasion in which a Police song was sampled in a hip hop track, besides in "I'll Be Missing You"? (And now in Kweli's "Around My Way").

There was that Nas song that sampled Sting (but not actually the Police).

As far as I can ascertain, Chill Rob G first sampled The POlice's "Voices In My Head" for "Let THe Words Flow" back in 1989, though you'd be good to spot the sample!

Pete Nice first sampled The Police in his 1992 album cut from his solo album. He used to be in 3rd Bass.

His cut "Blowin' Smoke" utilized the reggae-like bassline of The Police's "Contact" from their Regatta de Blanc (1979) album.

Tha Alkaholiks used "King of Pain" for "The Next Level".
CamRon used "Roxanne" on "What Means The World To You"
702 ft Missy Elliot sampled "Voices In My Head" on "Steelo"

And I'm not going to even bother about P Diddy'd feeble attempts as others would have mentioned it here!

the Puffy mix of "Roxanne" with the UTFO samples was pretty good.
