I think the song "Get Out of My Dreams and Into my Car" by Billy Ocean is about the Devil. But I may be reading into it a bit.

Also, "Louie, Louie." Part of the song where he says "Muh, ma wuh, da da doo muh muh." COULD be interpreted to mean "Dear Lord of Hades, Pull my Soul into the Burning Regions until I Scream in Demonic Pleasure."

There's a really great New Zealand song from the 70s that goes 'Come, Come, Come, Come to the Sabat - Come to the Sabat - SATAN'S THERE!' (Sabat is how they pronounce it.) It's a very strange song but it was so popular it appeared on Loxene Golden Discs - not the original but a cover. On that record 'Europe', which I've only heard once, Daniel Johnston does a cool kind of spoken word thing where he goes 'Sataaan! Sataaan! Get ye behind me Satan!'

Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat.

actually, that was originally by a UK band, black widow. pretty cool tune, but very upbeat and happy sounding for a song about attending a black mass... closer to jethro tull than black sabbath. with BANJOS, of all things.

i can't think of a single satan-related song, though.

Don't forget 'Randy Newman's Faust', a legit rock-opera, with Newman as the devil naturally; e.g.

Chorus: "lord, there are some Buddhists at the pearly gates !"

God(James Taylor): "oh, just put 'em in the trash"

Science has proven that 'Sum41' and 'kickass' don't belong in the same sentence. My science, at least.
