Gabba often gets chewed-over on ilx as a fascinating/amusing historical extremity. It never took off here in Melbourne and I'm a long-lapsed fan anyway; but every time I go back to Adelaide I'm struck by hardcore's sheer
there. Hours of bombardment from the likes of Rob Gee have never stopped attracting crowds in excess of a thousand.
In 2004, such an unrelenting appetite for the genre is not common. It's like there are certain nerve-centres around the world where hardcore is still proving its promise of immortality: Hardcore Will Never Die!
So besides the old Euro/Scottish nerve centres - which I presume to be still grinding away - where else is it going orf? What places are on Paul Elstak's tour schedule these days?
