Heard it the other night but the DJ was being very cagey - "It's an old 45 by Prince Buster- you won't be able to find it."

It's basically a horn-driven vintage ska instrumental of the classic song "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" but I have a feeling it ain't by Prince Buster at all and the DJ was making shit up to make me go away. It may well have been renamed for this version, as is the way with a lot of reggae of the time. And, man! - It must be out on CD - it's too good to be locked away on old vinyl 45s.

Any help would be appreciated.

The DJ might have been cagey, but he was also basically honest - the track IS by Prince Buster, and it's called 'Rude, Rude, Rudee'. I had it downloaded from Kazaa a while ago, but must have foolishly deleted it during one of my periodic clearouts, for I have it no longer.
Since it's been on Kazaa I assume it's therefore been reissued on CD, but, as Ralph Kramden once remarked 'When you ASSUME you make an ASS of U and ME'.
