OK, so there will never be an album that gets unanimous approval. But what album, if put to the time-honoured "classic/dud" test on these boards, would garner the fewest "dud" responses EVAH and is therefore the ultimate ILM album and a veritable mirror to our musical souls?

couldn't have been XTC, there's a thread about how horrible they are, after all. I can't remember what was proven by science to be the best album ever as judged by ILM but it was something unsurprising.

Not really but I'd still balk a bit at it being the 'ultimate', though I guess I wouldn't fight too hard. I haven't heard the two albums mentioned so far though.

It would be hard to decide on one particular Kraftwerk or Bowie or Eno album. There are just so many good ones from each. (Not to say I like Bowie, really; I never got into him, but his fans are probably just as catty about what his "best" album is.)
