This is the new project from one Walter Schriefels, of Quicksand, Gorilla Biscuits & Rival Schools (like i need to tell you smart cookies). This is much more pop then we are used to (assuming you are used to &/or familiar with him) from him. I like it a lot, kind of like Brendan Benson if he picked up the pace a bit so his songs only lasted 2 minutes, or a Ted Leo with less literate lyrics. Completely worth your time. Anyone else have an opinion?

I got a little freebie CD of 2 songs when I was leaving a show in L.A. recently. Since I didn't have my iPod with me, I popped it in the stereo for the drive home and was surprised how much I liked it. Really catchy... It reminded me of the first Rival Schools thing - the split/collab with OneLineDrawing, which I liked a lot more than the official Rival Schools full length. Very poppy and fun.
