Does anyone know whats happening with Baxter Dury - Len Parrots Memorial Lift is one of my favorite albums of the last few years and there's a brief mention of him in the Daily Mirror today which made me think of it.

Doesn't seem to be any info on the web anywhere - Think he might have been on Rough Trade

Yeah, new album coming in '05 and it's very good. I think still on Rough Trade. A bit more upbeat in spots and some nice new influences creeping in.

Okay, so Floor Show comes out now in a little over a month. I wish I remembered a little more about Len Parrot's so I could compare. That either means I wasn't listening closely or that Floor Show just annihilates it. Few albums in the 3rd quarter of 2005 will probably get as much play as I've been giving this.

Anyone have a cover scan? Amazon's still blanksville and the Rough Trade site is like tits on a bull.

Surprised that there's not more love on here for Baxter (based on a relatively limited listen to him). I sort of think of him as creating music that might get played in expensive magazine shops and that, while I like hearing him, I don't actually ever need to buy anything by him ... but maybe I should?

kept up with his tunes over the years, but i find his work style over substance, even if that style is great. new one isn't quite there for me. xp was my teenage ilx posting - i still love that song, though
