Anybody know these ladies? I just got turned on to them yesterday via their first album and it has one track called Amaralina that I can't stop listening to.
I have access to the rest of the catalogue; just wanted to know if anyone else is down with this or if I've stumbled into some beautiful niche...

as i am brazilian, i know these ladies. but i don't like them.

i prefer the originl version of the songs they sing.

What I've been listening to is their early material; the stuff they did in the sixties.

What i have from them is the album "os afrosambas", by Vinicius de Moraes and Badden Powell. They participate in this album and it is really brilhant.

But, u know, here in brazil they are an oldies act, and a not very famous one.

I can second "os afrosambas" by Vinicius de Moreas and Badden Powell, even if it seems like somebody fell asleep at the mixing desk on the copy I own- it's fantastic and Quarteto Em Cy's contribution is one of numerous sublime elements.
