fall in-store at tower records?

i've heard rumors that THE FALL are doing a tower records in-store in new york (i guess the west 4th one?) this friday, october 15th. thing is, they're slated to play at northsix the same night. also, since the fall are essentially googleproof, i haven't been able to find any information on the former event happening, if it indeed is happening at all.

so, anyone know ANYTHING about this?

there is also a fall gig on saturday in brooklyn..basically the same lineup as northsix..its at asterisk art project gallery childrens center bar and grill on johnson ave,call shahin at narnack for info.

dan, are you playing that show as well? i went to n6 today (abt. a block from my house) to get tix for the friday showcase but was told I had to buy them online. If i don't end up at the friday show, i'd still like to see bunnybrains & the fall on the same bill...

yes we r playin both shows..it should be fun as long as the nut brown holds out and marky mark has a nap beforehand..come to think of it im a big napper of late..see u there?i should have some bunny box sets on hand as well

The only other time I remember them doing one was when I was in Hoppital, and couldn't get a day pass (my op was the next day) even if I promised not to eat or drink. I think it was HMV in London. I read afterwards that one girl wanted her breast or t-shirt signed so he wrote "I am a mong" on it.

i saw the virgin in-store today. short & sweet set. the best vantage point i could find was over by the magazine rack but i still couldn't see too well so i spent most of the show reading olsen twins gossip. i'll go to the asterisk thing tomorrow but i couldn't pass up the opportunity to bask in the surrealism of seeing the fall at a virgin megastore.

i made it to the virgin in-store.

a few notes:

- MES bumped into me heading up onto stage and nearly tripped over my backpack on the floor. i thought it was some random old jerk until i saw him get on the stage. not that i could really tell him from amongst a crowd of strangers walking down the street or anything, but i felt a little bad. but still, uh, OMG HE TOUCHED ME OMG and suchlike.
- their new (?) keyboardist is like some lovechild of parker posey and toni basil.
- were those all songs from the new album? they were all really, really good and i should kick myself for not getting it except i shouldn't since i really don't have spending money.
- now that i think about it, yeah, it was really, really surreal to see them playing at VIRGIN of all places. but i'm glad i made it out. was the northsix show good?
