It was on "Early Doors" on Monday, and played every time Ken was getting dolled up. Some of the lyrics are: "You shrugged and smiled", "learn to live like an aristocrat", "hang the traitors", "You ride around like Steve McQueen in The Great Escape".
I've tried Google with no joy, so you're my last hope.
It's a slow accoustic tune.

Didn't hear it myself, but didn't Prefab Sprout have an album called "Steve McQueen"? circa 1984/5....

Possibly a connection.......???
