seymour ass, Thursday, 14 October 2004 07:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Surely if you want to see more ass you can just stay on PFM and look at all the pretty SUICIDE GURLZ, eh?

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Thursday, 14 October 2004 08:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Isn't there a pic of your azz out there in netland too?

chanelboy, Thursday, 14 October 2004 08:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Mine? Probably. I'd hope so. People deserve to see it.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Thursday, 14 October 2004 08:26 (twenty-one years ago)

No seriously, on some forum. Some female posted it.

chanelboy, Thursday, 14 October 2004 08:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Excellent. I WONDER WHO THAT WAS?

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Thursday, 14 October 2004 09:05 (twenty-one years ago)

THE BATTLE CONTINUES.

The Good Dr. Bill (Andrew Unterberger), Thursday, 14 October 2004 10:42 (twenty-one years ago)

I only hope that the pic was doctored, you are no Brad Pitt.

chanelboy, Thursday, 14 October 2004 11:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh well. Arsed. [dyswidt?]

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Thursday, 14 October 2004 11:18 (twenty-one years ago)

mos def review tomorrow.

Rollie Pemberton (Rollie Pemberton), Thursday, 14 October 2004 15:48 (twenty-one years ago)

wow, rollie from pfm to stylus. this is ja rule moving from the INC to death row (as was rumoured). or like jigga going from the roc/def jam to warner!

DVD (dickvandyke), Thursday, 14 October 2004 18:41 (twenty-one years ago)

wait, what?

The Good Dr. Bill (Andrew Unterberger), Thursday, 14 October 2004 18:52 (twenty-one years ago)

We're a major label. Or something. Which I think is an insult if you're an indie, but I'd much rather get promos off EMI than off Squirrel Records.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Thursday, 14 October 2004 18:54 (twenty-one years ago)

In what bizarro world are we in where Stylus is more mainstream than Pitchfork?

The Good Dr. Bill (Andrew Unterberger), Thursday, 14 October 2004 18:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I got a Tina Turner 2 CD best of promo today = we are teh mainstream.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Thursday, 14 October 2004 18:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Tina Turner > all indie put together, arguably.

edward o (edwardo), Thursday, 14 October 2004 19:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Note to self: never argue with Edward Oculicz.

The Good Dr. Bill (Andrew Unterberger), Thursday, 14 October 2004 19:46 (twenty-one years ago)

okay, maybe its like canibus making the move from wyclef/universal to unknown two bit indies/unknown producers. then again, canibus has been appearing on kay slay tapes recently so maybe hes on the up again!

(i have no idea where stylus and pfm rest in the hierarchy of internet music sites)

DVD (dickvandyke), Thursday, 14 October 2004 19:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Pitchfork is older, more specialised and more popular than Stylus.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Thursday, 14 October 2004 19:49 (twenty-one years ago)

so rollie has gone to the underdog! hes like prince, done with the mainstream, and pursuing the ani di franco dollar!

(prince is not doing that at all even though he pretended to be in 96 but n/m)

DVD (dickvandyke), Thursday, 14 October 2004 19:58 (twenty-one years ago)

do you ebay the stylus promos? or review them?

lemonsole, Thursday, 14 October 2004 20:00 (twenty-one years ago)

DVD is creeping me out.

Rollie Pemberton (Rollie Pemberton), Thursday, 14 October 2004 20:55 (twenty-one years ago)

sorry rollie. good review of that new def jux album on stylus though. look forward to the mos def review, ive heard it is a completel pile of shit.

DVD (dickvandyke), Thursday, 14 October 2004 21:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Pitchfork: Paris St Germain
Stylus: Bolton Wanderers
Todd Burns: Sam Allardyce
Rollie Pemberton: Jay Jay Okocha

This makes Nick Southall Ivan Campo.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 14 October 2004 21:06 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm just playing, DVD.

and yeah, it is pretty shitty.

Rollie Pemberton (Rollie Pemberton), Thursday, 14 October 2004 21:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm in this bitch.

Rollie Pemberton (Rollie Pemberton), Thursday, 14 October 2004 21:10 (twenty-one years ago)

why can't i post pictures? that would've been funny with the picture of Jay-Jay scoring a goal. :(

Rollie Pemberton (Rollie Pemberton), Thursday, 14 October 2004 21:13 (twenty-one years ago)

rollie, do you ever play get your roll on before you write a review? just wondering.

DVD (dickvandyke), Thursday, 14 October 2004 21:14 (twenty-one years ago)

not surprised the new mos album is shit either, hes been mediocre ever since BOBS dropped. pretty odd really, a fantastic album, and then a severe drop off.

DVD (dickvandyke), Thursday, 14 October 2004 21:15 (twenty-one years ago)

whenever i enter rooms, i have people play 'roland the headless thompson gunner' or 'roll out (my business)'. it's a courtesy thing.

can i kick it?

http://www.wldcup.com/pictures/2004_02/597_22563_0.jpg

YES I CAN

Rollie Pemberton (Rollie Pemberton), Thursday, 14 October 2004 21:15 (twenty-one years ago)

rollie, do you go to other message boards and encounter the same level of fame? ILX is more of an indie rather than hip hop forum after all.

DVD (dickvandyke), Thursday, 14 October 2004 21:17 (twenty-one years ago)

uhhh...i suppose so. people on hipinion do this sort of thing occasionally. a lot of hip hop heads don't like me because they had pitchfork for the pretentious, shiity rap reviews they did before i came there and stuff, so they assume i'm an asshole or something.

Rollie Pemberton (Rollie Pemberton), Thursday, 14 October 2004 21:24 (twenty-one years ago)

ok, my last question for the night. as a hip hop writer in the US, rather than a indie writer in the US, what do you make of dizzee rascal and grime, if youve heard it?

DVD (dickvandyke), Thursday, 14 October 2004 21:25 (twenty-one years ago)

"Securing Jay-Jay's services underlines this club's desire to compete in the upper reaches of the Premiership."

t0dd burns, Thursday, 14 October 2004 21:55 (twenty-one years ago)

i love dizzee. i'm actually originally from canada, i just go to school in the states. i'm a big grime fan, my favorites are probably lady sovereign and kano. i feel that grime is a natural offshoot of several genres that appeals to me, someone who likes all sorts of music. the new album is ace (if not as raw as the first one). 'learn', 'fickle' and 'face' are the bomb.

Rollie Pemberton (Rollie Pemberton), Thursday, 14 October 2004 22:00 (twenty-one years ago)

which genres? (last question i promise! im just interested to know from a US hip hop perspective)

DVD (dickvandyke), Thursday, 14 October 2004 22:12 (twenty-one years ago)

hip-hop, dancehall and IDM, all mashed into a punk mental aesthetic.

Rollie Pemberton (Rollie Pemberton), Thursday, 14 October 2004 22:23 (twenty-one years ago)

rollie, what do tou eat for breakfast? the people gotta know.

Symplistic (shmuel), Friday, 15 October 2004 01:14 (twenty-one years ago)

THE STREETS CANT WAIT

djdee2005 (djdee2005), Friday, 15 October 2004 01:27 (twenty-one years ago)

40 oz for breakfast

Rollie Pemberton (Rollie Pemberton), Friday, 15 October 2004 02:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I prefer to think of myself as the aged and crotchety Rivaldo.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Friday, 15 October 2004 06:54 (twenty-one years ago)

when Tina Turner's personal life got better her music got worse is all I'm sayin

Gear! (Gear!), Friday, 15 October 2004 06:59 (twenty-one years ago)

40oz for breakfast is gangsta.

the mos def review was on point. i have a feeling indie guys will like it more though.

DVD (dickvandyke), Friday, 15 October 2004 09:20 (twenty-one years ago)
