Dressy Bessy's first album & a live show I saw around that time were both great. Too rocking to be twee, too adolescence-bound to be rock.

Dressy Bessy are only marginally less irritating than Pizzicato Five. Saloon are the Broadcast it's okay to fall asleep to.

I *heart* Dressy Bessy. The first LP is so incredibly cute and poppy, um, but I guess I could see how they could get irritating after awhile...

someone i know just saw dressy bessy for the 1800th time(good bands avoid denver what can i say) and she reports that they are now quite dreadful, tammy has unlearned the ability to sing in key and needs to cut back from three or four packs a day and the inkling to rawk out that has so damaged the apples has started to creep into camp bessy.

Since I live in Denver I see Dressy Bessy quite a bit. I've never heard their albums, though. I usually just get annoyed with their performance and start downing the G&T's. Well, that's not totally true.. they seem pretty allright to me.

two months pass...
Dressy Bessy ain't really my bag, a bit too cutsey kidsey rubbish for me. Apologies for growing up.

Saloon are blistering, chunky kraut rocking guitars and squeeling moogs though. Occasionally they stray onto prog-turf but at least they're trying something different. When they get it right they soar. And the singer is cuuuuute. If only she would smile.
