How does the collective ILM feel about these new CDs I bought?

Because I'm too lazy to start individual threads

Frank Black Francis - I like this a lot, especially the demos. Nice to hear. Totally Oldham-izes the 'hits' on disc two - that may be a good thing or bad thing depending on yr perspective

Mike Fellows - Limited Storyline Guest - I guess I'm the only person who loves Miighty Flashlight, huh? This new one is good, but nothing as outstanding as "Ballet Skool"

Samara Lubelski - The Fleeting Skies - Nice.

Motley Crue - New Tattoo - as awful as I'd feared. The first song is kinda rockin' though. Not worth the $4 I paid for it, though

Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffitti 2 - The Doldrums CD - wow this is awesome! How come you animal colelctive fanboys aren't all up on this yet?

Pig Destroyer - Terrifyer - terrifyingly kickass

need to get the crooked rain reissue, new john frusciante, and maybe rilo kiley or something on tuesday. How's the new Elliot Smith?

The butchering of "White Punks On Dope" on New Tattoo made me positively well up with bitter tears. Snap it in half for me, please. It pains me to know that it exists.

Pig Destroyer sounds promising.

Pig Destroyer sounds interesting, if not entirely Kosher.

The new Elliot Smith is pretty good, but don't expect it do be quite on par with his older work.

nope. i love that mighty flashlight release. just listened to it 2 days ago in fact. thanks for the heads up on this! btw, i have an affinity for 'ballet skool' too as when i bought that cd a few years ago i was dating a gal who taught at a (you guessed it) ballet school. fond memories.

i'm glad i have company! I actually interviewed him a year or two agao - nice guy.

"Ballet Skool" is SUCH an underappreciated song

That Samara Lubelski LP is an amazing record. Social Registry is just a fantastic label in general, can't wait for them to release the Benji Cossa album.
