one year passes...
"Mummi kutoo" is Finnish for "Grandma's knitting". They only made one album (1975, Love Records LRLP 147). They were inspired by such 70's folk/rock acts as Dando Shaft, Amazing Blondel, the Incredible String Band, Lindisfarne, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Cornelis Wreesvijk, America, Al Stewart, Don MacLean and Roy Harper. Also on the CD release are some bonus tracks featuring the horns the band added in 1976. The projected second album never materialized, as the record company went bankrupt in 1978. For those who can read Finnish, a band history is online at http://www.circlefinland.com/mummi.html
