Wax 'Bridge To Your Heart'
Spagna 'Call Me'
Sheila E 'The Bell Of St Mark'
Kim Carne 'Bette Davis Eyes'
Krush 'House Arrest'

i don't think any of those had another top 40 hit in the 80s

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Friday, 22 October 2004 14:04 (twenty-one years ago)

It's Immaterial - Driving Away from Home

DJ Martian (djmartian), Friday, 22 October 2004 14:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Baltimora 'Tarzan Boy'
Maria Vidal 'Body Rock'
Jack n' Chill 'The Jack That House Built'
Housemaster Boyz 'House Nation'

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Friday, 22 October 2004 14:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Sheila E 'The Bell Of St Mark'

a great song indeed, but a minor hit and far from her biggest. she had two huge US hits around the same time with "the glamorous life" and "a love bizarre."

fact checking cuz (fcc), Friday, 22 October 2004 14:17 (twenty-one years ago)

tis always a little precariouse when discussing early uk house in terms of 1 hit wonders. a. becasue the peple who produced them are possibly superstar djs to this day. eg (I am pretty sure) Rythm is Rythm is Jeff Mills. b. becasue of their (possible) long forgotten underground smashes.
that said, at least i am not alone in my obsession with early house.

lukey (Lukey G), Friday, 22 October 2004 14:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Rhythim Is Rhythim is Derrick May, not that either he or Mills ever had a hit anyway.

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Friday, 22 October 2004 14:33 (twenty-one years ago)

not from the uk either, but hey

Loose Translation: Sexy Dancer (sexyDancer), Friday, 22 October 2004 14:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Rhythim Is Rhythim is Derrick May, not that either he or Mills ever had a hit anyway.

Dude, "Strings of Life"!!

Mr. Snrub, Friday, 22 October 2004 15:25 (twenty-one years ago)

in which universe was that a hit?

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Friday, 22 October 2004 15:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Detroit, brutha.

Loose Translation: Sexy Dancer (sexyDancer), Friday, 22 October 2004 15:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Men Without Hats also hit in the US with "Pop Goes The World".

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 22 October 2004 15:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Opus - "Live Is Life"

Bingoboys f/ Princessa - "Show Me How to Dance"

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Friday, 22 October 2004 15:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Kim Carnes did 'Voyeur' too.

Men Without Hats did indeed have 'Pop Goes the World', as well as 'Living In China'; that may be just in Canada, though.

How about:
Amazulu, 'Montego Bay'
Baltimora, 'Tarzan Boy'
Eight Seconds, 'Kiss You When It's Dangerous'
John Parr, 'Man In Motion'
The Motels, 'Only The Lonely'
Peter Schilling, 'Major Tom'
Strange Advance, 'We Run'(a fabulous song; go download it)

derrick (derrick), Friday, 22 October 2004 16:19 (twenty-one years ago)

surely the John Parr is 'St Elmo's Fire'

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Friday, 22 October 2004 16:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Taja Sevelle 'Love Is Contagious'

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Friday, 22 October 2004 16:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Animotion-Obsession

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Friday, 22 October 2004 16:29 (twenty-one years ago)

right, sorry, that should be 'St Elmo's Fire(Man In Motion)'. I just know it better as the Rick Hansen theme song. Man in Motion '87!

derrick (derrick), Friday, 22 October 2004 16:36 (twenty-one years ago)

John Parr had another big hit in America, "Naughty Naughty." Dunno if it hit anywhere else.

The Motels had two other decent-sized hits, "Suddenly Last Summer" and "Shame," both of which I hated.

And Kim Carnes had many many hits, at least three others of which went Top 20: "Don't Fall in Love With a Dreamer," "More Love," and "Crazy in the Night (Barking at Airplanes)."

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Friday, 22 October 2004 16:41 (twenty-one years ago)

If any of these folks had more than one actual hit (in North America), I'm unaware of them:

Nena, "99 Luftbaloons"
Sly Fox, "Let's Go All The Way"
Lipps Inc., "Funkytown"
Dexy's Midnight Etc., "Come On Eileen"
The Kings, "This Beat Goes On/Switchin' To Glide" (yeah, technically TWO hits, but they were always played in tandem, therefore...)

Myonga Von Bontee (Myonga Von Bontee), Friday, 22 October 2004 17:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Dexy's always get mentioned on these threads by Americans but they had several other big hits in the UK including marvellous #1 single 'Geno' and 'There There My Dear'

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Friday, 22 October 2004 17:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Nena, "99 Luftbaloons"

If I'm not mistaken, "Nur Getraumt" (English version: "Just A Dream") charted briefly in Canada. It was from the same album.

Tantrum The Cat (Tantrum The Cat), Friday, 22 October 2004 17:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Sly Fox is one of my favorite bands solely because of that one song.

Don't forget "Don't Disturb This Groove" - The System

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 22 October 2004 17:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Believe it or not, Animotion had a second top-ten hit with a song off the "My Stepmother is an Alien" soundtrack.

Loose Translation: Sexy Dancer (sexyDancer), Friday, 22 October 2004 17:40 (twenty-one years ago)

T'Pau - "Heart and Soul"
Nu Shooz - "I Can't Wait" ("Point Of No Return" was great too but I don't think it was a hit)
Toni Basil - "Mickey"

Seb (Seb), Friday, 22 October 2004 17:42 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't believe it.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Friday, 22 October 2004 17:46 (twenty-one years ago)

AMG Biography by Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Riding the wave of MTV-friendly synth pop of the mid-'80s, Animotion took the coldly catchy "Obsession" to the Top Ten in the beginning of 1985. After that, success was elusive — the follow-up, "Let Him Go," barely cracked the Top 40 just four months later. In 1988, over half of the band left the lineup, including the leaders Bill Wadhams and Astrid Plane; actress Cynthia Rhodes and former Device member Paul Engemann became the lead vocalists. (Fortunately, the personnel changes apparently didn't cause any animosity — Plane married Charles Ottavio, Animotion's bassist and one of the founding members of the group.) The new lineup was lucky enough to score a Top Ten hit with "Room to Move," a lightweight song from a Dan Aykroyd movie that was even more lightweight (My Stepmother Is an Alien). After that brief flash of success, Animotion disappeared from the picture.

You might make the case that is wasn't the same band, but hey.

Loose Translation: Sexy Dancer (sexyDancer), Friday, 22 October 2004 17:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Astrid Plane ... now there's a name.

Loose Translation: Sexy Dancer (sexyDancer), Friday, 22 October 2004 17:49 (twenty-one years ago)

THAT WAS THE OTHER ANIMOTION SONG!!!!! I've been trying to remember this for YEARS.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 22 October 2004 18:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Useless trivia: Cynthia Rhodes married Richard Marx around the time "Room to Move" was a hit.

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Friday, 22 October 2004 18:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Boys Don't Cry - "I Wanna Be a Cowboy (six-minute version)" The single greatest song released during the 1980s!!

"Oh yippie!! Yippie-yo-yo!! My name is Ted. And one day... I'll be dead, yo yo yo."

Mr. Snrub, Friday, 22 October 2004 19:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Double - "Captain of her heart"

Seb (Seb), Friday, 22 October 2004 19:59 (twenty-one years ago)

>> John Parr had another big hit in America, "Naughty Naughty." Dunno if it hit anywhere else.

Um, WHERE in the US was this a big hit? I have zero recollection of this.

H (Heruy), Friday, 22 October 2004 21:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Naughty Naughty #23 on the Billbaord Hot 100, 1984.

Loose Translation: Sexy Dancer (sexyDancer), Friday, 22 October 2004 21:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Naughty Naughty was HUGE and was all over MTV...had me reaching for the remote everytime.

of course back then the remote was a giant brown box covered with buttons and switches the size of a computer keyboard and was attached to the cable box by a long brown cable, but you know what I'm saying.

I HATED that video.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Friday, 22 October 2004 22:03 (twenty-one years ago)

"I Know What Boys Like"!

Nowell (Nowell), Friday, 22 October 2004 22:13 (twenty-one years ago)

" I Eat Cannibals" Toto Ceolo
"Da DA DA" Frank Zander

Camouflage - Stan Ridgeway

Drive she said wasn't a hit?

papa november (papa november), Saturday, 23 October 2004 15:00 (twenty-one years ago)

The Motels, 'Only The Lonely'

also, Total Control was a huge hit for the Motels in Australia.

papa november (papa november), Saturday, 23 October 2004 15:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Taco - "Puttin' on the Ritz"

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Saturday, 23 October 2004 15:03 (twenty-one years ago)

WHY DO I KNOW WHAT JOHN PARR LOOKS LIKE?

Loose Translation: Sexy Dancer (sexyDancer), Saturday, 23 October 2004 15:21 (twenty-one years ago)

*seconds The Waitresses*

Ian Moraine (Eastern Mantra), Sunday, 24 October 2004 23:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Waitresses also had Christmas Wrapping (or was that Rapping) which still gets played every Xmas by KROQ - it's my signal that the christmas season has begun.

nickn (nickn), Monday, 25 October 2004 00:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm going to guess Toy Soldiers was Martika's only US top 40 hit.

jim wentworth (wench), Monday, 25 October 2004 00:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Ready for the world - oh sheila

b*art, Monday, 25 October 2004 01:03 (twenty-one years ago)

SHANNON "LET THE MUSIC PLAY"!

("Give Me Tonight" might have been a minor hit too, actually, I don't remember where it charted.)

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Monday, 25 October 2004 01:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Freiheit "Keeping the Dream Alive"
Belouis Some "Imagination"
Jimmy the Hoover "Tantalise"
Timbuk 3 "Future's So Bright"
Karel Fialka "Hey Matthew"

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 25 October 2004 04:18 (twenty-one years ago)

When In Rome, "The Promise"
Glass Tiger, "Don't Forget Me When I'm Gone"

Vancouver! Vancouver! Is This It?, Monday, 25 October 2004 04:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Cock Robin "The Promise You Made"
Kissing the Pink "The Last Film"
Joe Fagin "That's Living Alright"
Matthew Wilder "Break My Stride"
The Reynolds Girls "I'd Rather Jack"

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 25 October 2004 04:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Glass Tiger went Top 10 with "Someday" too, IIRC, and Martika had "Love Thy Will Be Done", which was written by Prince.

Seb (Seb), Monday, 25 October 2004 04:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Ready For The World also had "Love You Down".

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 17:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Magazine 60 - "Don Quichotte"

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 17:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Stan Ridgeway also had "The Big Heat" (and of course "Mexican Radio" with Wall of Voodoo).

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 17:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I was wondering about the Belle Stars. "Sign of the Times" was a great tune, but did they have more (and I like the album, too)?

Nails - 88 Lines (I have some very early version of this which is much rougher and not bad as far as I can recall)

George Kranz - Din Daa Daa

Rough Trade had a few more hits in Canada, as well: Highschool Confidential, etc. Carol Pope went on to record Never Said I Loved You, with the Payolas. I think she also had an affair with Dusty Springfield (but don't quote me on that).

Tamara Slivera - Rubber Band (another Canadian song which was a hit in Canada).

Guymauve (Guymauve), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 18:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I think Worlds Away was a hit for the Strange Advance as well (again, regionally, that being Canada). A great closer for some highschool dances, at least in the burbs where I was. Beat Stairway to Heaven at least among the nerdy, alterna types.

More CanCon: Breeding Ground - Reunion, Vital Sines - Collage, Darkroom - San Pacu (spelling?), Toby Swann - Over the Rainbow, Demics - New York City.

And most people would be missing some great Martha and the Muffins tunes if they stopped at Echo Beach: Danseparc, Swimming and even Black Stations, White Stations was kinda funky, if needlessly epic.

A non-Canuck hit, but a favourite on Toronto early alt-radio was Toast by the Streetband.

Guymauve (Guymauve), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Popping a couple balloons:

The Belle Stars charted mildly in the U.S. with a cover of "Iko Iko."

Ready For The World had "Digital Display" along with the aforementioned.

Cock Robin also hit with "When Your Heart Is Weak."

Glass Tiger also hit with "Someday"

but I'd be remiss to not include Danny Wilson's "Mary's Prayer."

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 19:06 (twenty-one years ago)

...who also had a hit with "The Second Summer of Love"

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 19:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Hm, I've never heard that one. Good stuff?

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 19:13 (twenty-one years ago)

ILM: We Are Crap At Listing One-Hit-Wonders

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 19:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Thanks Joseph.

Ryan Paris - La Dolce Vita

How about The Flirts? Passion was a hit, but was something else?

And we can spend hours here: http://www.onehitwondercentral.com. It sort of spoils this, actually (it looks only at American charts, though)

Guymauve (Guymauve), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 19:18 (twenty-one years ago)

My favourite song for about a month in 1989. And also only a hit in the UK (got to number 23). UK/US differences always make threads like this tricky.

(xpost, about Danny Wilson)

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 19:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Aztec Camera - Somewhere in my Heart

Jona Lewie - Stop the Cavalry

Rockwell - Somebody is Watching Me

JP Almeida (JP Almeida), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 19:54 (twenty-one years ago)

the flirts had Don't Put Another Dime in the Jukebox

they had other songs that were club hits, but prob didn't chart...Calling All Boys, You and Me, etc.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 21:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Aztec Camera weren't one hit wonders. "Oblivious", "How Men Are" "All I Need Is Everything" and "Good Morning Britain" at least were all in the UK Top 40 at some point.

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 21:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Wa Wa Nee only hit in the US with "Sugar Free" and Psuedo Echo only hit with "Funkytown".

What about Hipsway? Did they have more than one hit?

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 12:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Roni Griffiths - "Desire"
Trans-X - "Living On Video"
Indeep - "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life"
Vanity 6 - "Nasty Girl"
Weather Girls - "It's raining men"
M - "Pop Music"

Seb (Seb), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 19:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Jona Lewie wasn't a one hit wonder either. Remember "You Will Always Find Me In The Kitchen at Parties". "I Think I'll Get My Hair Cut" flopped though.

everything, Wednesday, 27 October 2004 19:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahaha Hipsway! They couldn't possibly have had more than one hit!

briania (briania), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 19:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Peter Schilling - "Major Tom (Coming Home)"

Loose Translation: Sexy Dancer (sexyDancer), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 19:51 (twenty-one years ago)

"Major Tom (Coming Home)" is a good one. Some more I just remembered:

S-Express - "Theme From S-Express"
Living In A Box - "Living In A Box"

Seb (Seb), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 19:53 (twenty-one years ago)

OMG "Living In A Box"!!!!!!!!

Wet Wet Wet only had one US hit, right?

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 19:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Hipsway did have another song that was in a McEwan's Lager advert, but I don't know if it was a hit or not (I'm assuming you're talking about The Honeythief - it wasn't that). I also can't remember what it was called but I do own the album so might go and have a look see if I can find it in the huge box of "tapes I'll never listen to again" that lurks in a cupboard in my house.

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 21:35 (twenty-one years ago)

The other Hipsway song was called Tinder. I don't even think it was a single.

Some more one hit wonders:

Ofra Haza "Im Nin Alu"
Kon Kan "I Beg Your Pardon"
Hollywood Beyond "What's The Colour of Money"
Glenn Medeiros "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You"
Boris Gardiner "I Want To Wake Up With You"

These might not all be classified as "best" though.

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 21:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Some others:

Win - You've Got The Power
Love Decree - Something So Real
B.A. Robertson - Bang Bang
Dennis Waterman Band - I Could Be So Good For You
Void Vision - Cyber People

also "What's The Colour Of Money", can't recall who had a hit with it though.

Best Of Wax, Thursday, 28 October 2004 07:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Hollywood Beyond "What's The Colour of Money" as I said up there a wee bit.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 28 October 2004 16:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Kon Kan "I Beg Your Pardon"

Kon Kan had "Harry Houdini" which was a hit here and less so with a wierd version of "These Boots are Made for Walking"

Outside of alt.rawk stations does
Pur - "Anna Is a Speed Freak"
count?

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 28 October 2004 16:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Waitresses also had Christmas Wrapping (or was that Rapping)

Christmas Wrapping is what it said on the ep. Square Pegs theme was also there work. I got scolded once for mentioning them as one hit wonders. I now like 'No Guilt' better.

Toast by the Streetband.

Someone keeps singing this in my office.

Was The Demics - New York City is kinda cheating since the single was release 78 or 79 and the lp contained an extended mix complete with traffic jam which wasn't nearly as grebt.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 28 October 2004 16:33 (twenty-one years ago)

oh wow i must hear the Kon Kan version of 'These Boots...'

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Thursday, 28 October 2004 16:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I wish Glass Tiger were only one hit wonders. The original crap band from Newmarket.
(and from Vice City)
Aneka - Japanese Boy

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 28 October 2004 16:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Win - You've Got The Power
Love Decree - Something So Real

Best songs used in Scottish lager adverts? Were they hits? I bought that Love Decree one. It's not really very good. The advert was ace though.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 28 October 2004 16:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Almost forgot L'Trimm, "Cars With the Boom."

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Thursday, 28 October 2004 18:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Boris Grebenshikov - "Radio Silence"
Supposedly, this guy was the Bob Dylan of Russia. Right before the Wall fell, he got the video for this track played on MTV. Imagine a guy who looks errily like Christopher Lambert pretending to be Bono. Weird.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Saturday, 30 October 2004 04:59 (twenty-one years ago)

one year passes...
NARADA - DIVINE EMOTIONS

who else remembers this?

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Friday, 3 March 2006 14:14 (nineteen years ago)

I am shocked, shocked that nobody's mentioned:

The Primitives: Crash

kornrulez6969 (TCBeing), Friday, 3 March 2006 14:27 (nineteen years ago)

The Vapors - Turning Japanese

Good song, but actually one of the weaker ones on their great debut album.

Jason Toon (Jason Toon), Friday, 3 March 2006 15:29 (nineteen years ago)

this list is probably so weird because a good number of 'one-hit' wonders had other charting singles, even if these other songs sucked.

also, Bonnie Tyler's (original) of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" owns this thread.

trees (treesessplode), Friday, 3 March 2006 15:30 (nineteen years ago)

> I am shocked, shocked that nobody's mentioned:

> The Primitives: Crash

Seconded. I am equally shocked to see that no-one has mentioned Sam Brown yet.

Niall, Friday, 3 March 2006 16:04 (nineteen years ago)

Odd, I've been thinking about 'Brilliant Mind' today, and trying to piece it together with whatever fragments I've got lodged in my memory. Think I'd like to hear it again - was it any good?

NickB (NickB), Friday, 3 March 2006 16:16 (nineteen years ago)

Brilliant, except for the godawful sax break, disrupting the whole song like an angry goose.

ledge (ledge), Friday, 3 March 2006 16:55 (nineteen years ago)

My head is in a spin
My feet don't touch the ground.
Because your near to me
My head goes round and round.
My knees are shaking
baby

My heart
it beats like a drum

It feels like
it feels like I'm in love.

Ain't felt this way before
But I know I'm turned on.
This time it's something
baby

I can't turn off.
My knees are shaking
baby

My knees shake
my heart beats like a drum.

It feels like
it feels like I'm in love.
My knees shake
my heart beats like a drum

Oh baby

My head is in a spin

My knees shake

My heart is like a drum

Oh baby

(Kelly Marie)

"Classic" by Adrian Gurvitz

just wanted to say this might be the worst song I've ever heard.

The Good Dr. Bill (The Good Dr. Bill), Friday, 3 March 2006 22:46 (nineteen years ago)

Sly Fox, "Let's Go All The Way"

Dan (The Only Acceptable Answer) Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 3 March 2006 22:49 (nineteen years ago)

Hanging On a String - Loose Ends
Love Plus One - Haircut 100
Never Say Never - Romeo Void
The Walls Came Down - The Call
Dominatrix Mix - Dominatrix
Doot Doot - Freur
I Know Theres Something Going On - Frida
Something About You - Level 42
88 Lines About 44 Women - Nails
A Million Miles Away - The Plimsouls
I Got You - Split Enz
Da Da Da - Trio
etc

Bobby Peru (Bobby Peru), Friday, 3 March 2006 23:02 (nineteen years ago)

I second the vote for Nu Shooz. In fact, I think I'll drop the whole POOLSIDE album into my iPod.

Terrible Cold (Terrible Cold), Friday, 3 March 2006 23:05 (nineteen years ago)

I Know Theres Something Going On - Frida

Seconded. I always thought that one of those female-led Gothic-Metal bands should cover this one.

Brian O'Neill (NYCNative), Friday, 3 March 2006 23:08 (nineteen years ago)

For the record, "Bang Bang" wasn't B.A. Robertson's only hit. He also charted with "Knocked It Off" and "I Have A Dream" in collaboration with the 1982 Scottish World Cup Squad, which he wrote (John Gordon Sinclair sang it of course, but you can see B.A. on the cover looking ridiculous).

everything, Friday, 3 March 2006 23:19 (nineteen years ago)

....not to mention "Kool In The Kaftan".

everything, Friday, 3 March 2006 23:52 (nineteen years ago)

"Wonderful Life" by Black?

Momus (Momus), Saturday, 4 March 2006 09:25 (nineteen years ago)

oh god, this is great, but do I answer the thread from a UK point of view or a US point of view? Arrrgh!

Bimble The Nimble (Bimble...), Saturday, 4 March 2006 09:30 (nineteen years ago)

Black are writing new songs about their old songs, which is a pretty big and tragic symptom of one-hit wonderdom.

Momus (Momus), Saturday, 4 March 2006 09:37 (nineteen years ago)
