Stop Draggin My Heart Around -- great rock duets, S/D?

Jus blasting Stevie Nicks's "Bella Donna", shaking the house to (I'm sure) the annoyance of my neighbors, and thinking that not only is Stop Draggin my Heart Around a fucking awesome, awesome song, but there's WAY too few rock duets out there. Good god, with Leather and Lace, this record has two heavy-duty classics -- can any other album make that claim?

I mean, inspired by the Boston v. Destroyer thread -- how fucking sweet would a nice Delp/Benatar duet have been? Huh? Fuck, I wish I was in charge. Hip-Hop and R&B always have great duets, why can't the rockers step up a little better?

Ozzy + Lita, "Close My Eyes Forever" - best WTF rock-duet moment.

This is actually quite an inspired concept. Wonder why no one ever thought of it at the time.

I'm going to be pelted with rocks and garbage for this nomination, but I think INXS' duet with Jimmy Barnes on the Freebeats' "Good Times" is fuckin' rocktastic.

Yeah, Ozzy and Lita -- that's right! I don't know the thing Alex mentions, so I will refrain from pelting, just barely.

Another dream pairing that's popped into my head is Nick Lowe and Debbie Harry -- why couldn't this have happened?

It was on the soundtrack to "The Lost Boys", if that means anything to ya.

Another contender:
Iggy & Debbie Harry's "Well Did You Evah"?

Ooh, that's a good one. I don't know the Lost Boys soundtrack, though, so I'm just gonna pretend you said the Young Guns soundtrack. Trust me, it's better that way.

Hurlothrumbo (hurlothrumbo), Friday, 22 October 2004 17:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Please don't read my suggestion as an endorsement of "The Lost Boys" as a film.

Nah, I was just taking the chance to shill for Jon Bon Jovi.

Seemed like an interesting pairing in theory, but the end results were iffy at best....and prompted Fast Eddie Clark to leave Motorhead in protest. Sad.

Lee Hazlewood - "Hey Cowboy" / "Sand" / "Some Velvet Morning" / etc.
Tindersticks - "Travelling Light" / "Marriage Made In Heaven" / etc.
Heavenly + Calvin Johnson - "C is the Heavenly Option"
My Bloody Valentine - "Feed Me With Your Kiss"

Hmmm, getting indie-schmindie!
