The weekend starts... how?

It's Friday early evening. You're home from work, and looking forward to the weekend ahead. Sipping your first cool beer, you potter happily around the kitchen, fixing a simple dinner before settling in front of the telly/meeting your mates down the pub. In short: it's the best feelgood moment of the week.

What's playing?

(For me: either Brian Wilson's SMiLE or the Sean Rowley Guilty Pleasures compilation. Or maybe some Cesaria Evora.)

I'm starting the weekend early by listening to Deep Purple's In Rock, Fireball and Machine Head.

Weird - I specifically typed out the following:

""Sean Rowley Guilty Pleasures compilation" -- why can't I find this on Souls3ek?? Anyway, hate to be cliched about it - it's old hat by now, but it still works wonders: Andrew W.K. "I Get Wet""

Don't know why it just took the one quote.

That is definitely a great moment every week. One more hour!

Music selection is usually pretty random, with only one constraint: if friends are coming over, I usually play something fairly accessible and fun (pixies, pavement, pink flag, yo la tengo, black on both sides, maybe the fall, etc).
