Why did I ever think Peter Murphy's "Unshattered" was going to be good?

Should've known anything produced by Gardner Cole would be wan and inert...but it's been years since PM dropped a disc and Paul Statham is back on the beat, and my hopes were so high.

Combine that with the fact that the new DVD of The Hunger is in Dolby 1.0 -- which cuts "Bela" in the beginning of the film off at the knees -- and one thing is certain: Peter Murphy is king midas in reverse. Now all I need is my old Memorex posters to spontaneously combust and the apocalypse can start.

Not only did Dust just come out two years ago, it was my favorite album of that year hands down. Now that said I've not heard this new one.

Statham is back? That has some potential.

While I still enjoyed the stuff without Statham, I prefer the The Hundred Men when it comes to live PM performances.

I can't find this anywhere...how'd you get it?

Just got 'em in the record store, after a bit of a production delay that pushed the street date back a bit. I would inquire at your local disc shoppe.

two months pass...
I was disappointed. Why do I even buy albums produced in 2004 expecting a return to a dreamy '80s/'90s style?
