Fischerspooner are putting the finishing touches on their second album in NYC with French producer Mirwais. *So far the band have collaborated on tracks with David Byrne, Linda Perry, Susan Sontag and Tony Hoffer although the final track listing for the album remains undecided. * The album is tentatively titled 'Odyssey', is being mixed in London with Mark 'Spike' Stent and Stephen Fitzmaurice *and will be released via Capitol and EMI worldwide next Spring.

The weekly salon series will also come to an end Oct 28th on hiatus till the new year when we will resume with previews of new album material.

Usual knee-jerk cynicism notwithstanding... I'm looking forward to this. I've been to a couple of these "Salon" things; they're held in a hangar-sized space near my apt. in Williamsburg, and, some of the material they've been previewing kicks #1 on it's ass.

But it sounds like it deserves a wider audience than it's possibly going to get - With the guest list being what it is, it should be de rigeur on I-pods and in-car CD systems as a generation reflects on the new US govt, and ends up hellbent on auto-erotic suicide.
