The most recent Uncut featured a blurb about these two 'Cocks getting together & doing a little musical magic. Um, all right. (Strange to see post-punk / arty punk peeps squirm from the woodwork like this - Devoto's getting back to business w/ an old mate, Wire's recording a new album, Burma's getting back together...)

Dear Lord, ...AND THE NATIVE HIPSTERS made a wee li'l comeback. Would someone please re-issue the 1st This Heat album already, or is C. Hayward in negotiations to play treated marracas with Avey Pare & Panda Bear?
I pbly wouldn't be the one to ask. I didn't see the nearest Wire reunion show last year. I'm not going to travel to see Mission of Burma. I still haven't bought the new Chameleons record and don't plan to at any time soon. I do plan on buying the new Human League at some point, though... I guess my point is that I'm pretty ambivalent abt all the reunions and whatnot.
As for Buzzkunst, didn't they just play that one show? Are they recording? Honestly I'd be more interested -- or un-ambivalent -- in a Magazine reunion.

Andy K - the Human League album is fantastic. Possibly, no, definitely their BEST album!!

Be interesting to see how the recorded stuff works. I hear it was recorded at distance, over quite a time. I hope they manage to maintain the sense of energy and edginess.
By the way, has HD ever dirtied his hands with a guitar, to anyone's knowledge?

(And, Mr. K, I simply assumed, given the involvement of Mr. Magazine, and the name of your bloggo, that you'd be @ least interested in 50% of the endeavor.)
I do hope they never play together again, so Tim and I can bore people about how time-splittingly magnificent they were, like folks from a half-generation earlier droning on about The Pistols at the 100 Club. (Yes, I am aware of the not-irony-something-else inherent in us thirtysomethings getting excited about a post-punk REUNION gig).

Talking of re-formations (not reformations, I hope) I went to Birmingham last week for work, only to see a poster saying the Nightingales had played the night before! AAAAaaaargh! I was very disappointed to have missed that.
Did I mention how good Buzzkunst were at the ICA, by the way?

Good band though especially The NIGHTINGALES.
