Do these things actually exist? I can't find them in stores or online.

Me, either. The last e-mail I got from Mute said that the street date was 11/16, but a friend who runs a record store said he got some in that were SACD, not playable in regular players, so frankly I don't know what the fuck to think.

Someone post accurate US street date and all other available info please!

I have Ege Bamyasi and Tago Mago and am expecting Monster Movie any day. I got them from amazon.co.uk (I'm in England). They are HYBRID CD/SACD meaning you CAN play them on NORMAL CD PLAYERS.

Oh, and they sound fantastic. The Ege Bamyasi CD is bright green!

Ah, I was wondering why I didn't see them at Amoeba on Saturday. And now I know...

I just called my record-store-owning buddy, and he'll have copies of Monster Movie, Tago Mago and Ege Bamyasi for me on Friday.

I've had these queued up on slsk for days (as much as I like them, I'm not going to shell out again) and just as I was about to get to the top of the queue my PC crashed. I restarted my PC and left it. Came back a day later and found some of my settings had been corrupted and I wasn't sharing any files and had been banned by the only guy on slsk with them, and they won't reply to my messages.

Sob.

As of today, the CAN reissues are available in stores in the US. (I got me some Ege Bamyasi and Tago Mago.)

Oh, I have all these shared on Soulseek for those of you who don't want to buy these albums again.

I saw the CDr promos at a local place. Presumably, these don't SACD?

CDr promos wont.

Are they really worth downloading on SLSK if you have the original issues? I don't think there's anything extra on the reissues, right?

Just got 'Ege Bamyasi', love the sleek child-proof jewel case!

Children aren't ready for Ege Bamyasi, you see

Listening to it, I can't understand why I used to think this was Can's "accessible" album

Baaderonixxx le Jeune (Fabfunk), Thursday, 2 December 2004 19:15 (twenty years ago)

Because of "Vitamin C," "I'm So Green," and "Spoon," perhaps?

I just got the 'Soundtracks' reissue and I'm starting to think that this might be the best thing Can ever did.
