What should I listen to tonight, based upon the outcome of the elections?

Assuming we'll actually know who won by midnight, I'm trying to configure a soundtrack for the evening. If Kerry wins, I'm thinking of some sort of Andrew WK/Gary Glitter type of mix. If Bush wins, I don't know. Probably some sad country or Ray Charles or something. What about you?

I thought today I would listen to nothing but early 90s anti-Bush hip-hop. Y'know, Cube's "Bird in the Hand", Geto Boys' "Fuck a War", etc. So much better than this year's anti-Bush fare (that Eminem video is cool but the song itself is awful. Le Tigre, Beasties, DJ Shadow and de la Rocha - their songs were crap too...)

I've been listening to Comets on Fire - Blue Cathedral...something about heavy psych acidy type rock reminds me of videos of big 60s riots and street protests...viva revolution!

yeah, Comets on Fire really recreates the prototypical 60s protest experience of being smashed in the head, repeatedly.

I was listening to Fela this morning - Confusion/Gentleman and Zombie. Now I'm listening to Last Exit's Head First Into The Flames. When I go home tonight (and I have to leave the office a half hour early because I'm told there's massive turnout at the polling place near my apartment), I'll probably be listening to Napalm Death or something similarly blaring.

A Kerry win = drunken serenading of neighbors (most of which have Bush signs in their yards) with "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow".

A Bush win = drunken serenading of neighbors with the old Busch beer theme song (head for the mountains of busch...beer).

If Bush wins, I'm going to play Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings" (a.k.a. the really sad music in Platoon) while I hang myself.
