Sometime between the 10th and 12th of January. We should meet up. Discuss Ally's ass and so on. Sterling will be in town.

JM, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I will probably be there.

JM, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Of course, there's also the strong chance I'll be there for a visit in February... ;-)

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i'm only (as of now) 2.5 hours away.

jess, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I may well be there a bit later in the month.

But if the date's not set in stone, I'm assuming you'd all much rather meet Ned, the wanker.

Nitsuh, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Actually, I propose IL* ticker-tape parades for Sterling, then me, then Ned. You can even re-use the ticker tape.

Nitsuh, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What kind of meeting? I live here in NYC.

Ok, since I'm ignorant, you can make fun of me now.

Gage-o, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm assuming you'd all much rather meet Ned, the wanker.

Oh, you blame me now, you punk. Out out, damned spot!

Maybe another Chicago meet-up is the answer and we can all meet in the middle of the country. During summer, thanks.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

In any case, an NYC meet up of some sort is in order for the 10th-12th anyway.

Sterling Clover, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh shit I'll have to make an appearance, obviously (living one state over & all).

David Raposa, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i'd love to attend, but that would involve leaving the house and not only am i paralyzed by the thought of human contact but socially awkward to boot.

jess, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

jess you live in new york??

Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

dude jess, that only makes you like, what, most of the rest of the meet up?

Sterling Clover, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Don't worry, Jimmy and Sterling are motormouths. You can just sit there and they will jabber away.

bnw, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sterling makes good point. Would we be able to sit around and blah blah at this music fun time if we actually left the house in social situations?

I suppose we could meet at a record shop, so they're would be less anxiety.

Gage-o, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I don't think it'll be that much of a problem to share the gift of gab. But, whoa, if you want to engender social misfit-like behavior from the shy portion of the group, record shopping is the way to get it done. Who has time to talk when they're shopping?

David Raposa, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

OK, for all the people who have never done this, this is not a new idea. We've been doing this thing fairly regularly for the last eight months or so. It's an interesting social gathering for losers and reprobates like ourselves, and there is music discussion if one cares to go that way.

And I am not a motormouth -- I just sit around looking smug much of the time

JM, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Damn it, Jimmy. If you're going to be all smug, then what the hell am I gonna do, TALK?

David Raposa, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'll be there and I'll drag along Ramon and Wheeler, somehow, since they didn't show in fucking Chinatown and I was about ready to murder someone else who was there out of sheer frustration of being around him. But I'll show up to this one, since Sterling and Jimmy would be very sad if I didn't show since they are in love with me. As long as we don't go to fucking Good World again, that was ass. AND NO MUSIC DISCUSSION, you all have horrible, horrible taste and besides Ramon turns into King Asshole when people discuss music.

We should meet up downtown though.

Ally, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ally, calling bulls in a china shop kettles when you're all dressed in black is no way to catch the early bird.

Damn, this is only 19ish days away, too.

David Raposa, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I can't make the 12th. The 11th would be a huge inconvenience, but since I know how important my presence is, I'll try to swing something.

Otis Wheeler, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What the HELL do you have to do on the 12th?

Ally, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

well ok, someone name the place and time and for sure day, and I'll bring the monkey and some marlboros.

ok, i'm joking. no marlboros.

Gage-o, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Monkey!

David Raposa, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

My mistake, I don't have to do anything on the 12th.

Wheeler, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What, the monkey lured you in? Bastard. Just when I made all these delicious cookies for you, and Brad gave me 2lbs of Godiva today! You could've had. And my friend sent me a whole pile of Soviet military pins for Xmas, I would've shown you. Alas a monkey is more important to you.

Yes, I am being purposefully dramatic. This is going to be the best fucking meet up in the history, better than Potion. Where are we meeting? I hope at a real hellhole, like Good World, or Peter's.

Ally, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It better be the best fucking meet up in the history. I have my last Social History of the Soviet Union class at 10am on the 12th, so I better get a fucking goddamned pin and cookie. No I'm not being purposefully dramatic.

Wheeler, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Brooklyn.

Tracer. Back me up, yo.

JM, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Brooklyn?

How about my freaky Greek neighborhood in Long Island City? You've never heard Greek Techno booming from a Toyota Camry? Sheeit.

Gage-o, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Brooklyn is ASS, I've never had any better time or spent any less money going places in Brooklyn than any other spot in the city, despite you people's insistance that Brooklyn is so fabulous. I mean, everyone else is right, why NOT Queens? Why NOT the Bronx? It's just as viable an idea. I say we pick a place in downtown NYC and go, somewhere easy-ish to find too so that when we put out a big official invite it's easy for everyone to find. Going to outer boroughs doesn't make much sense to me, particularly if the out-of-towners who are saying they want to come actually do come, why do I have to say this every time we have a meet? This is why none of you met Ned last time.

And Wheeler, I'll give you a fucking pin, calm down, I have most excellent ones. And my cookies are goddamned motherfucking fantastic, I mean these are the best ones yet, the ones I brought to work. You'll see on Christmas, they're like the best things anyone could ever eat.

But don't you want some of this Godiva? I can't eat 2 lbs of damned chocolate by myself! Just don't eat the starfish, I like those.

Ally, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

BTW, Greek techno? My friend at work has this Zorba the Greek techno track, it's fucking phenomenal.

Anyhow, I meant to write this in my last post but got too busy talking about my most fantastic cookies yet. Listen, I think we should pick a place downtown because DOWNTOWN NEEDS OUR BUSINESS, I get mail every damn day stating as much. So let's go downtown, but preferably a place with a good jukebox. And by "good jukebox" I don't mean that bar where I met Wheeler where someone insisted on playing Johnny Fucking Cash instead of Daft Punk and Britney, I mean a jukebox that I would like and could monopolise the entire time.

Thank you all for your assistance in this important matter.

Seriously when it comes closer to the time and I finish up this holiday bullshit I'll look up some places, I promise.

Ally, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

alright, alright, you twisted my arm...i'll come...

PROVIDED, there are no trips to seedy locales in queens which feature surly waitstaff and shiny europopdisco. (although i haven't played the "gay?...or eurotrash? game in a while.")

jess, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

there is a great little bar downtown who's name is fucking escaping me, of course that would be perfect and it's going to drive me nuts until i remember. damnit. it's got the BEST JUKEBOX IN HISTORY...something that even ally could agree on if she saw it.

jess, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

BARMACY (the bar) has a great jukebox, but sometimes you can't play it, because the bartender folk play their own tunes. It's 14th st and i think Ave A? Somewhere around there.

and no euro-techno-pop. no no no no.

Gage-o, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yeah, we can't have shiny europopdisco on the jukebox cuz then me and Ramon would monopolize it the entire time and Ally would be sad.

Otis Wheeler, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Mod it looks as if the die is cast. You can't stop the tides of the ocean. To surf with the wave maybe we could go to Tom & Jerry's? it's on Elizabeth.

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

WHY would I be sad about Europop disco considering that ALL I LISTEN TO besides Adam Ant and Duran Duran is Kylie? As long as the "shiny" Europop wasn't Ace of Fucking Base, I'm fine with it, Wheeler. Stop laying the blame on me. You guys listen to TERRIBLE Europop 50% of the time, it's not my fault that I have to be sad about your terrible taste.

Ally, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Actually I'm willing to do Tom & Jerry's (why am I posting twice all the time). What is on their jukebox, tracer?

Ally, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Big Joe Turner.

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

No, seriously.

Ally, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's actually called "288", not Tom & Jerry's.....just so ya know.

Alex in NYC, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Tracer, you keep tossing in bon mots, but there's no commitment here. You in or not? Jess: same thang.

Sterling Clover, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Hello? Who's in, who's not?

Sterling Clover, Saturday, 22 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

my cutting wit aside, i am in. provided it's a. not on a friday (that's freshman spring rush and i'll be working 12 hour days for two weeks) and b. i don't get sacked in the interim. have we picked a place, or no?

jess, Saturday, 22 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Mmmkay...

What say we begin by finalizing the day as Saturday night somewhere in the Village (if we aren't coming down to Brooklyn, at least let's stay the hell out of Downtown, 'coz it's so NOT interesting there).

JM, Saturday, 22 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

ANSWER THE QUESTION.

JM, Sunday, 23 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

As has been said, I will be there, with Ally and Ramon.

Wheeler, Sunday, 23 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I will go, as long as noone wears a plush fedora hat.

Gage-o, Monday, 24 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Shit, that means I can't come down.

Actually, Joei and I can't come down in January, anyway. I don't think we'll be able to leave the state until April.

Dan Perry, Monday, 24 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

yeah, so I fucked up. The Mission Of Burma show is Saturday night; and reccomend moving the meet to Saturday afternoon.

ALLY: Start suggesting places.

JM, Tuesday, 25 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, and Ally, I'm taken now. She's nicer, and has a better ass.

Sterling Clover, Thursday, 10 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

(Ben - because then we would NEVER make it on time)

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 10 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sterl - u R cruisin for a bruisin

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 10 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well if you guys MOVE it to February I'll expand on my obsession with all things dissonant. hah!

helenfordsdale, Thursday, 10 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sterl, I don't know, how great can she be if she's willing to do you?

Tracer, do you have nothing better to do? I mean, you're going to loiter in Grand Central for an hour? What the hell? (Ramon wants to know, btw. I actually hadn't even thought about it, weirdly)

Ally, Thursday, 10 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Who the hell is coming into Grand Central, anyway (besides me, that is)? I'll get there as early as possible, BTW - Tracer & I can hang out & steal peaks at foreign fashion magazines (ooo, boobies).

David Raposa, Thursday, 10 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

newsflash: i will not be attending. 5 hour commute (more if i dont drive) + working that morning + only (half) day off for two weeks = uh, no.

somehow, yr hearts will go on.

jess, Thursday, 10 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Jess I am very disappointed.

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 10 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ally, loitering IS my fun. Don't take that away from me.

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 10 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

... loiter ...

Tracer Hand, Friday, 11 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well that's a little creepy.

Ally, Saturday, 12 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, is it alright if I bring other people from my work? So that I'm not so bored? They like Nike.

Ally, Saturday, 12 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh shit someone (that is, me) misplaced their cell phone in NYC. If one of you cats at the meet-up happens to find it (or some cell phone), please let me know.

Oh, and it was a pleasure meeting y'all and some blah blah blah.

David Raposa, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I have no doubt, David, that I managed to lose your cell phone.

Quick version: I am a stupid fuck. Not only was the Living Room inexplicably closed, but I failed to meet David at Grand Central. Thru the magic of cellphone technology we reconnoitered downtown at the Pink Pony, but I managed to tape the sign that said we were there OVER a magic-marker sign that Sterling, Jimmy, and Ben had already left on the door indicating their preference for Local 138 on Ludlow St. Somehow we managed to find each other. I complained the entire time about my hangover and drank tea.

There is more to tell. But for now, Ally, I reluctantly but utterly surrender all future claims on plan-making. I clearly cannot do it for shit.

Tracer Hand, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Dave - I bet it's in Ben's car.

Tracer Hand, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Tracer can take "credit" for everything except the phone thing. I should have NEVER had that cup of tea. I don't know what I was thinking.

David Raposa, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

And I bet it's sitting in the Pink Pony, all lonely and neglected. I tried calling it when I got home, but there was no answer - I think the phone's mad @ me.

David Raposa, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ally was that the pirate shirt? It's from a very "mod" crew.

Tracer Hand, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Not in my car, as I just let Dave R know via electronic mail.

Tracer's compounding fuck-ups cicatrized thanks to the fact that Tracer is a good egg. That and the three dollar pints of O.S. Hen.

I echo Dave in my pleasure at meeting you all. We'll meet again soon, pref. in Brooklyn, or maybe Ally can organize a crawl of the vilest bars of Amsterdam Avenue.

Benjamin, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Hmmm ... when in February will Ned be in town? For I shall be there from the 8th until the 18th, it seems.

Nitsuh, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh ho! Or ho ho, perhaps. As it happens, the plan was for me to be there from the 15th to the 18th or so. It sounds like there is goodness. However, I need to actually buy the tickets.

Ned Raggett, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Indeed, a lovely time... eventually, although our efforts to impress Tracer into a chain gang in Maryland utterly failed. Jimmy and I blew town slightly early to go and hit the Mission of Burma concert, which is very hard for me to describe without getting very pretentious very fast. They had a "No New McCarthy Era" sign onstage, and felt very vital and important.

Sterling Clover, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

But did they ROCK, Sterling? Otherwise I CARE NOT.

Ned Raggett, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

That was NOT the pirate shirt, it was too cold for the pirate shirt. Next meet up, maybe it'll be warm enough for it. I mean, obviously a black v-neck sweater is not a pirate shirt, unless maybe it's a modern space pirate, like Han Solo.

Anyhow, I will be planning all meet ups from now on and refuse to go to a meet anywhere that I haven't pre-approved. I mean, first he picks a place that is CLOSED, then he picks a place that is A) incredibly ridiculous full B) has bad waitstaff C) has crappy food (unless you LIKED your $6 grass, Tracer) D) NO ALCOHOL! The bar we eventually went to wasn't bad and was very inexpensive - but definitely wasn't worth all that trouble. Coming right on the heels of the Good World/Sanrio Mall thing. So I will decide all from now on, official. Because MY planned meet ups have all gone swimmingly.

How are you feeling now anyhow, Tracer? You were pretty miserable the other day.

Ally, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

As it happens, the plan was for me to be there from the 15th to the 18th or so.

Oh. Well, if Ned's gonna be there, than I'll pass on a meetup.

Nitsuh, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh I'm feelin groovy Ally. I could go into detail but it's a little disgusting.

Nitsuh AND Ned in town at the SAME TIME? "EGGcellent..." (drums fingertips together)

Tracer Hand, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh and Ally can Ramon come again next time? I want to make sure there's someone there who cows Otis into silence and comments endlessly on my grooming habits! Damn I though he was going to go through my hair looking for nits!

Tracer Hand, Sunday, 13 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Dude, he didn't "cow Otis into silence", Otis doesn't speak, he's practically a mute. He only speaks to me, because I'm the only person he likes, me and Adam Ant. But I don't know what Ramon's problem was with your appearance, why did he care? And what was your problem, taking it - not only taking it but BRINGING HIM GLASSES OF WATER ON CALL!!! You shame me for your own sake, Tracer. Next time, I expect better. I give you the night off due to illness. But NEXT time, you better throw the drink in his face when he picks on your Kramer-esque hairdo.

I WANT SOME FIGHTING GODDAMNIT.

Ally, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Such a fine line between polite and lazy. I did manage to have fun despite the occasional sensation of jackhammers ripping apart my brain. David is a pearl of a dude. I think my organ player friend would like him. No, not that kind of organ.

Ben is in my hood! We discussed the situation at O'Connor's and we both agree that it's better since Rockabilly Spike left, despite his excellent additions to the jukebox. Sterl and Jimmy generously offered sausages to anyone who would agree to drive to Delaware for a week. No, not that kind of sausages. I hope you TCB in a flash, Mod (if u have access to the electron futureweb)

Question for anyone: do amaretto sours have a fortifying spirit in them, or is it just amaretto and sour?

Tracer Hand, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well, if Ned's gonna be there, than I'll pass on a meetup.

MEAN. *cries*

I'll be buying my tickets tomorrow. 15th through 18th = glorious madness.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

"Question for anyone: do amaretto sours have a fortifying spirit in them, or is it just amaretto and sour?"

As it turns out, the only spirit in the Amaretto Sour is the Amaretto itself.

I liked Neddy the barman, and as I've said I especially liked the ultra cheap pints, but he really had no idea how to make a drink.

Benjamin, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Uh.. 'straight up'... that means no ice, right?

Oh and ned, they rocked so very hard indeed. Same as it ever was.

Sterling Clover, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

OK. So, for next time: Tracer stays away from the hard stuff the night BEFORE the meet-up, we go to a bar where the tender KNOWS how to make an Amaretto Sour (since I, of course, know jack about drinking), anyone having problems with Ramon or other party-goers works on their drink-throwing skills, and we check if the places we're going to meet @ are actually open for business.

And, damn, Tracer, thanks for the kind words. Who's this organ player friend, though? I am, as they say, intrigued.

David Raposa, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

That Ramon sounds like a dick.

chaki, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Wow, you're looking for a real nasty next meet up if everyone threw a drink at people they had a problem with, actually...maybe I shouldn't recommend this course of action...remember my comments about why I had a problem with the Good World meet up...there are certain people who are very lucky we were as polite as we were, which wasn't very polite, more like loud and ignoring them to throw in comments about Maxim. We had to like go run and do something immediately afterwards to rid our minds of whether or not something that was said was actually meant to be an insult but was poorly executed, or not. So we drove to Elizabeth. We like laughing at things that are beneath us, like Elizabeth. Ooh, and we watched the Adam Ant video collection, that was exciting, expect one of us to be wearing his jacket at the next meet up.

Ally, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Though I will say it's way worse to not tell you that you have spinach in your teeth. Do you want to walk around like that all day? I totally noticed and didn't say anything, just went "eew, spinach" quietly to myself. And it was in a spot that it wouldn't fix itself easily. You're better off, Tracer. Otherwise you'd never score the multiple fine ladies that were all over the locales that were picked.

Ally, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

When one is EATING one tends to have FOOD in TEETH, then on TONGUE, then down GULLET. GRRR! It's a little preemptive to point this out when I haven't finished chewing yet! "Er, uh, Ally, c'mere. You've got food in your stomach. You might want to, uh, digest that."

Tracer Hand, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well, February promises to be interesting, then. Perhaps Nitsuh and I will just sit in the corner and talk about being pathetically in love with the Cat's Miaow or something (if Nitsuh is not p.i.l. [har har] with the Cat's Miaow, then he is an Ingrate and a Cad).

Ned Raggett, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, Jesus: this is going to turn into that thread where I hadn't heard Orange Juice, isn't it.

Nitsuh, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

YOU HAVEN'T HEARD ORANGE JUICE?!?!?

I'm all for basking in the glow of the Cat's Miaow, for damn sure. Saturday wasn't geeked-out enough for my tastes (WTF is with all the fancy foreign film talk, you damn dilletantes?) - we need more obtrusive & exclusionary pop blather.

David Raposa, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Re: ladies: yes. I know your heart was in the right place, Ally. Who did you like better, the waitress or the one who sat down and told me about puppet-making?

Tracer Hand, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

YOU HAVEN'T HEARD ORANGE JUICE?!?!?

Lord, I forgot that salient fact about Nitsuh. That means he's a Bounder as well.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well, I've heard Orange Juice now -- my not having heard them caused such a stir that I shortly received two CD-Rs in the mail. I know who the Cat's Miaow are, and I have heard (and enjoyed) several Cat's Miaow singles, I think, at various points. Beyond that I have never come across anything of theirs, so you cannot blame me for not owning it.

Someone here is always all surprised when I haven't heard something. Let it be known, once and for all: I have not heard all that much music. Seriously.

Nitsuh, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Let it be known, once and for all: I have not heard all that much music.

Not good enough. We need you to hear everything. :-)

Ned Raggett, Monday, 14 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I hope you TCB in a flash, Mod (if u have access to the electron futureweb)

What does this mean?

And I have heard The Cat's Miaow and find them lovely.

four months pass...
If anyone is still monitoring this thread: I may be in NYC June 25- 30ish for PC Expo...will probably be staying in midtown Manhattan and probably won't be overly mobile (partly because I'm going to probably be mostly in the area for industry stuff, but also party because I won't have tons of cab money. also because I'm chickenshit and probably won't want to be walking around alone through the streets of NYC by myself.) Anyhow...I'm going to confirm details soon on whether I'm even GOING to PC Expo. If anyone wants to meet up, email me or something.

Okay, confirmed. I'll def. be in town. I'm flying out fairly early on the 30th, if I remember correctly, but I should be available all day on the 29th, as the event is over. May be available some evening during the show, but not counting on it. If anyone wants to meet Saturday the 29th, let me know. I'll be staying at the Roosevelt.
