Have these labels gone under? I haven't seen hide nor hair from either in a while.

Wiiija I could give two hoots about, really, but Creeping Bent I always liked.

The guy who ran Wiiija (Gary Walker?) left, citing general shitness of the industry and that his job was now unexciting. mass migration/end of artists on the label follows. Cornershop have definitely released something somewhere, Bis on Artful, home of the Fall?

New Le Tigre album out too, on ChicksOnSpeed Records. Not as good as the first, but that was a bit of a minor classic. I don't know about Brassy, their last album was pretty good too I thought.

Wiiija inevitably came under more and more pressure to have hits from "not really our parent company" Beggars Banquet after Conershop had a hit. Apparantly this was a major reason for "little" Gary to leav

four years pass...
Reviving a second thread, probably in vain. Creeping Bent just showed up on eMusic. The Gareth Sager (The Pop Group, etc.) album turns out to be one of the best things I've found this year (it's not a 2006 release). Seems to be underloved (or possibly underheard) based on the paucity of reviews that Google finds. I'm still trying to think of a better, or less obscure, comparison, but for now early Annette Peacock really seems to nail it.
