1) Ordinary version.

a month passes

2) Australian version with 3 extra tracks, one called "France" unreleased otherwise.

3 months later

3) Deluxe version with 1 hour DVD extra.

Why buy new? (Morrissey's doing this too)

(this is not the first time one of your threads has stumbled due to a not well-thought-through thread title, mark)

i still haven't bought this year's album by one of my favourite bands on CD because I'm waiting for copies of the Japanese import version with bonus track to filter into the UK. i guess it's a judgement call - am I desperate to consume this now, or can I bear to wait for the optimum edition?

i guess for downloaders, the question doesn't even arise

Must... behave... self....

You can download France on the interweb, actually. It's a rather pretty song. (I didn't say that. WAIT, AARRRGGGHHH, YES I DID.)

If anyone is wondering what to get me for Xmas, the Libertines pr0n DVD would be greatly appreciated! At last! A way to enjoy them without having to listen to the music! Hurrah!

I'm going for selective appeal. (what's wrong with my rock and roll high school thread title anyhow?)

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 5 November 2004 11:46 (twenty years ago)

I found the rock'n'roll high school thread alright! (I'm beginning to think that I really am secretly one of Mark's daughters.)

Errr... can't remember how I found France on the interweb. Uh, oh wait, no, the only place I would have found it linked would be from a slash fiction site. Oh dear.

I WANT THAT DVD!!! I WANT IT!!! I NEED MORE PR0N SINCE I BURNED A HOLE IN MY NIGEL SPIVEY NARRATES KINGS AND QUEENS OF ENGLAND DVD!!!!

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 5 November 2004 11:54 (twenty years ago)

ten years pass...

Hmm, well...

Just came by to say, yeah thanks for the Reading Festival gig guys, looks like the crowd enjoyed singing the old tunes and had a bit of a lis-lis to the new stuff. And I dare say the new album will get a few buyers.

But lets knock it on the head now, yeah?

"Gunga Din" is excellent -- haven't stopped playing it since it leaked.

I'm a fan.

What's the one that they played with the cello and Carl without guitar sang?

That one was interesting.
