I have one track on a sampler, something about "boy with a taste for nostalgia"..
I believe their version of "Lovely Rita Meter Maid" was banned...

If so, here's a clue: my recollection is that the reason that it doesn't matter whether you play it at 33RPM and 45RPM is that it would still sound like a complete and utter pile of shit at any speed!
[Caveat: I have not heard the EP for more than 20 years and was far more inclined to dismiss far more things as "shit" in a far more casual manner in those days than I am today.]

I can't IMAGINE what them covering ANYTHING would sound like.

The Comic Strip Live. Nigel Planer and the other one as part of "Anarchy in Dreamland" easy listening punk medley. Of course, this exists for real now..

Umm, it's brilliant. Definitely search for the main track "I don't like your face".
Track two "Johnny's so long at the fair" is more of the same, but still fine.
Track three is eight mins long and no doubt when they copped a few bottles and stuff during live performances.
I would like to find a live tape. Where did all those live tapes go? is there an archive/graveyard?

For those who were asking, it's a cross between Captain Beefheart, Pere Ubu, Bela Bartok and something very silly.

Time to revive this for today is quiet.

Does anyone else have a ten year old daughter who wants them to dig up this song, as she hasn't heard it for

Wonder what they'd think of it nowadays?
