His “Choeurs Imaginaires” has been kicking my ass lately. Especially the first section, “On eût dit des coups d'ailes, ” which features a clarinet possessing a similar vibrancy to that of Messiaen’s “Quatuor…” and massive processed choirs not unlike those of Penderecki (Think “Song of Solomon”) and Ligeti. Fucking beautiful.
I recently ordered his other available works and don't know anything about them, but I'm very excited. I know he worked with Micheline Coulombe Saint-Marcoux, who's awesome.
