Failed to grab me for a long time, but I put it on at work the other day and realized my mistake - shimmery and bubbly and wonderful.

said track is very awesome. works completely diferent over headphoens than over speakers. could be the new cologne shtick - see, um, everythign by dominik eulberg, especialy the wruhme remix of basstolpel. (or maybe its the old shtick and i hadnt noticed due to lack of decent haedphones.)

Track 8 -- off the Polar 12" that Traum released -- does it for me. It's also one of my favorite things about the Brinkmann Tour de Traum mix.

I like the wildlife-themed Eulberg album quite a lot as well. More people need to hear Mabuse and Afraid of Seeing Stars though.

oph man oh man!!!!!!!!!!! you deleted track 7! that is the one for me!er....i think thats the one andy k is referring to. 12.31 or something? its in my car so i cant check. anyway its the one with the gorgeous bassline.

i reckon about 30% of this album is killer. thats not a bad hit rate for me. mind you, when my mate told me oliver hacke was doing an album, i creamed my pants, so i am disappointed with the end results.

also, i hagte the typography. that font looks like "impact" or some other nastiness!

Woops, ambrose is right.

Andy K (Andy K), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 18:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, it's track 7 for me too.

adam... (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 18:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Hmm, how coincidental.

Track 7 is indeed the killer, although I believe the Polar EP make up tracks 8 and 9 of the album.

I'm not really feeling the Eulberg album aside from the last track with all the chirping birds.

Lächel off of Interkontinental 3 was almost too melodic (but still good, just weird in this mix).

Haha! I really hadn't seen that, Michael!

gotta say this hasn't really hit me yet. that first "polar" 12" was one of my favorite records in recent minimal techno, but the album feels pretty blah. i keep hoping to discover otherwise, though.
