yep, I do have the 69 -- although it's been lent out to a friend who has had for, errr, over a year now! I like Julio's list and the Mimeo album is a shoo in for the top ten ;) but i cant believe he didnt include Scott Walker, Pole, Talk Talk or Smog.

thanks jed - I forgot about smog when i compiled the list! I haven't heard the scott walker and not that talk talk album but I should get round to those (I really like 'spirit of eden'). As for Pole I've enjoyed it but the thing with his stuff is that it would be one of the greatest singles evah, it kind of loses its appeal over a whole album.

I definitely think the failure of ANY US dance music to make the poll is the biggest omission. In terms of individual albums, I'd stand by my placing "The Infamous" and "Lazer guided melodies" so high, and wish they'd got into the poll. Looking at my list, it's very allergic to rock, but then there was no good rock in the 90s, so I guess that's fair.
