kingfish (Kingfish), Friday, 12 November 2004 05:34 (twenty years ago)

i recommend:
"so...'fit but you know it'... ...what happened?"

i hope the answer involves them receiving large sacks of money.

Don't ask any of these: http://tinyurl.com/6bpfy

The Futureheads mak me really happy to have ears.

Congratulate them on the indie-covering-kate-bush trick last memorably tried by the late lamented China Drum. NOT REALLY OF COURSE. I like their cover - and it sounds sincerely meant. Ask them about their favourite bands from Newcastle. Are they mates with the Kane Gang? Will they do a cover of the theme to Byker Grove? that sort of thing

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Friday, 12 November 2004 10:47 (twenty years ago)

(I KNOW they're form Sunderland - that's deliberate, like)

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Friday, 12 November 2004 10:48 (twenty years ago)

DO THEY LIKE FRANZ FERDINARD?

DOOMIE X, Friday, 12 November 2004 10:49 (twenty years ago)

DO THEY LIKE CHIPS?

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Friday, 12 November 2004 11:06 (twenty years ago)

China Drum also. From Sunderland I mean.

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 12 November 2004 11:14 (twenty years ago)

are they the killers in disguise?

doomie x, Friday, 12 November 2004 12:02 (twenty years ago)

But, um, I don't think it'd actually piss them off (I wager their favourite Newcastle bands are Milky Wimpshake, Red Monkey and The Unit Ama).

Ask them why they're afraid of graffiti.

freestylr162 -> completely off-topic; is this a reference to the freestylers?

jesus nathalie (nathalie), Friday, 12 November 2004 14:51 (twenty years ago)

the sunderland v newcastle thing isn't real, it's just a game northerners play. Now people who come from stockton - they're evil.

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Friday, 12 November 2004 14:57 (twenty years ago)

why are they better than franz?

titchyschneider (titchyschneider), Friday, 12 November 2004 14:59 (twenty years ago)

China Drum also. From Sunderland I mean.

That would be news to them - High Spen, out of Newcastle. Maybe you are getting mixed up, somehow, with Leatherface.

3underscore (___), Friday, 12 November 2004 15:01 (twenty years ago)

HIGH SPEN! No wonder i was afeared when i saw them supporting Echobelly.

Maybe it was just that i was at an Echobelly gig.

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Friday, 12 November 2004 15:11 (twenty years ago)

Ask there if there's a "Fantastic Plastic" version of the album?

zaxxon25 (zaxxon25), Friday, 12 November 2004 16:16 (twenty years ago)

ken taylrr (ken taylrr), Friday, 12 November 2004 18:24 (twenty years ago)

actually, he kinda has stopped asking, but for a while there...

ken taylrr (ken taylrr), Friday, 12 November 2004 18:24 (twenty years ago)

Okay, a real question.

Will the band ever be releasing the 1-2-3 Nul! demos for purchase?

Right now, I can only find the EP through Fantastic Plastic.

Yes, I know I can download it.

cdwill, Friday, 12 November 2004 20:15 (twenty years ago)

maria tessa sciarrino (theoreticalgirl), Friday, 12 November 2004 20:22 (twenty years ago)

zaxxon25 (zaxxon25), Friday, 12 November 2004 23:33 (twenty years ago)

Re: Freestylr162

It was, about eight years ago. The funny part about it was that I had only heard them once before making the addy.

Steev (Steev), Saturday, 13 November 2004 00:56 (twenty years ago)
