Bang - Mother/Bow To The King - 1972

Must be a rare record. A little Tullish, Floydish, Crimsonish, Spooky Toothish. Given to me by my father-in-law, a former radio dj. It's not half bad. Anyone else heard of them?

Ian Christe (Ian Christe), Saturday, 13 November 2004 07:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Dudes, Jim & Ian, I own ALL THREE Bang records.

Jim is right Mother / Bow to the King is the best one. But the first one was definitely the heaviest, most Sabbath-aping. their heart was in the right place on that one; the only problem was, they couldn't play for shit. "Future Shock" seems the only salvagable cut to these ears. Later records more conventionally rocking, but with better tunes overall.

Stormy Davis (diamond), Saturday, 13 November 2004 09:11 (twenty-one years ago)

(when I saw this thread title I totally wished it was about the band)

Stormy Davis (diamond), Saturday, 13 November 2004 09:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I think it was either Enuff Z'Nuff or Faster Pussycat that had a minor hit with 'Bang, Bang' during those glory years of hair bands.
