x-wife - first ever US gigs in NYC next week

so the portugese band x-wife is playing their first-ever US gigs next week in NYC:

tuesday 11/16 @ CBGB's
friday 11/19 @ rothko
sunday 11/21 @ sin-e

they're also on air on WFMU on the afternoon of saturday 11/20.

hopefully some label rep will see them and make their album easier to get in the US. excellent stuff if you haven't heard it, reminds me of clinic but with a more electronic sound ... synths and drum machines. (and unlike clinic they have more than 3 basic songs too.)

they go on at 9:30 at rothko. (and midnight at CBGB's and 8:30 at sin-e.)

very curious to see what a live show from them looks like - anyone know if it is true they dont have a drummer? sounds too much like a band to not have one...

yeah no drummer apparently, it surprised me initially as well. they're say they're better live, so i'm pretty psyched to see them.
