Encore is a classic. Period.

I'm not some kind of teeny-bopper trying to cause a stir-up on a message board, and I have at least semi-respectable music tastes (I hope), with what I listen to ranging from Captain Beefheart and Wolf Eyes to John Coltrane and Orbital.

I've been a pretty big Eminem fan for a while. The Marshall Mathers LP is one of my favorite albums of the last twenty years. I think that The Slim Shady LP and The Eminem Show are both excellent. Encore, although it's being regarded as "career suicide," is a classic in my opinion.

I don't see why fans of Eminem DON'T like about this album. He's not trying to be as controversial anymore...is that really what it is? I mean the songs are incredible. There are a few that are just "good" (Evil Deeds) and those that are childish yet amusing/entertaining (Ass Like That, Big Weenie) but then you have Mockingbird, Like Toy Soldiers, the HIGHLY underrated Rain Man, among others...

Please, someone tell me what's wrong with this album.

Yeah, I've seen it. But things get way too disorganized once you reach about 50 posts and it's hard to figure out who's saying what in response to who.

You're new here, aren't you?

(Trust me, we've hit a thousand posts on some threads and they can still be tracked.)

Haha Ned, I was about to make that same assumption.

It'd be pretty neat if you started every thread with a list of your musical interests/credentials.
