Oh, I'm going to add Band Aid III to the thread title. I'm too subtle that's my problem.

Whose career is ailing out of those involved? Of those still making music regularly? Geldoff and Midge Ure seem to have given up making records many moons ago. I'd hardly say Jamelia, Coldplay or Keane were ailing. And Bono will probably never ail, sadly.

And it could, and probably will, do both, Mark. Make millions and give a boost to the career of those involved. Ideally it wouldn't be needed and we'd all be giving a decent proportion of our GDP to the developing world, but we're not, so it's hard to find fault with whatever little good this will do.

Perhaps its more like insurance. Particularly the Darkness.
