Are you ready for the la la la, the la la la and a whole lot of la la la?

Where is that from? Meatballs? What are the words?

Other mystery: there is a commercial that goes: "I want spend my life bada bom bom baaaah with a girl like you bada bomp bom baaaah". I think it's a cologne commercial. It sounds like the Rolling Stones, it could be the Strokes, but I'm pretty sure it's neither of them. Cool voice, though. Holy dung. Is the rest of the cd as good as that commercial exerpt?

Correction: it goes like this:

I want
to spend my life
with a girl like you
bom bom bom baaaah

I was thinking it would be a good song to get married to. And right after it, I'd play the "are you ready for the summer" song. Of course, I wanna get married in June.

I recognize that 2nd song as from the 60s, I think the title is "With A Girl Like You." Maybe the Troggs?

Just Googled it, it's the Troggs from 1966, although that may not be the version in the commercial.

T H A N K - Y O U. I know nothing about the Troggs, but it's a name that pops up. Obviously, that song seems to be indicative of great music. Troggs. Probably like the Stooges to some people. I hope it's ridiculous that I don't know them. Otherwise, it's the one good song they had.

Ugh, that cologne ad really bugs the snots outta me, BUT....

Can anyone name the surfy instrumental playing in the latest Toyota ad? It features a couple waltzing about in the dessert thinking out loud about how fabulous they are, when suddenly and SUV drives up and sprays dust all over them and drives off. It sounds like Nikki Sudden's Swell Maps, but I can't place the song (if that's even correct). Anyone?

Spock, The Troggs also did "Wild Thing," which is their most well- known song. X has covered it, and probably other bands too, it's great, trashy garage rock.

The Troggs also did "Love Is All Around" as covered by REM and WetWetFuckingWet (number one for about a year, from the Four Weddings & A Funeral soundtrack). Reg Presley (the Troggs' singer) used the royalties from that to research crop circles and aliens and stuff.

This translates to: GO BUY A TROGGS ALBUM. They are dandy.

Thanks, I definitely plan to! Glad I remembered to ask about that commercial. I had always thought Troggs was some sort of prog rock outfit. I don't know why.

Now, if anyone could tell me if that other song was from Meatballs or not and fill in the missing lyrics, I'd be pleased as punch.

Working on it, Spock,..as soon as I find it, I'll let ya know!
