Lucca Lucca Lucca! i loooove his voice. he needs to record a solo album, sharpish but i know this thread is gonna be all Jamie from now on, bah. I mean Jamie is good an' all too but Lucca has much more mystery in his voice, plus he's hott. Leigh, post a picture of Lucca for me, please.

I love both but I lean toward Santucci -- As One's Away from All of This wins it for him.

I've only got the vaguest memory of what Luca looks like.

anyone heard jamie lidell's cover/mix of 'the audience' from the herbert 12"? if you have, there's not a question to this thread...

firstworldman (firstworldman), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 16:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I've not heard that but i would err on the side of Jamie.

leigh (leigh), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 16:42 (twenty-one years ago)

i have, i think it's great but there's something about jamie liddell that just doesn't really do it for me - something really show-offy and petulant whereas luca santicci is totally understated, has a cracking voice and is just so much more endearing.

stelfox, Tuesday, 16 November 2004 16:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I read your s_c i/v - got the impression from it that you didn't warm to him.

leigh (leigh), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 16:46 (twenty-one years ago)

that's what's so great about him though... he's a true showman. and the newest song he's released, 'the city', off of the warp dvd sounds like some glorious combination of the rolling stones and sly stone, but produced by lee perry... plus 'daddy's car' off of his full length... plus how absolutely brilliant s_c's 'raw digits' and 'head on' full length's are... don't even get me started on his live shows... just to be fox news and balanced though, i don't like his techno stuff. i am getting really annoyed that there is nothing new.

firstworldman (firstworldman), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 16:49 (twenty-one years ago)

'The city' is ace, reminds me of the blues explosion. I think the new stuff is on the way early next year.
