This came out a while ago, but after searching ILM's database, I was suprised to discover that no one's mentioned it yet. I fucking love Bobby Conn, and this album continues his PROG-ression, but would like to hear other thoughts.

I really need to sit down and listen to this. I found this LP at a used record store several months ago.

When you say prog, do you mean really prog, or do you mean David Bowie prog?

martin hilliard, Wednesday, 17 November 2004 16:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't really consider it prog. Prog fans will be dissapointed (by the proginess level). If anything it's David Bowie prog. However it's a cool album, though I haven't got into it as much as "The Golden Age".

Totally David Bowie prog, but I meant that rather tongue-in-cheek. I think perhaps Bobby does too.

Sorry, must stop repeating myself!

I was there. Wasn't sure about the new songs (they may grow on me), but the old ones sounded great...

What were those trailers about? I couldn't see anything. (Buffalo Bar is definitely not the best venue to show film footage!) Has he really made a 'porno musical'?

I missed the trailers too, and could only really see the top of his head for most of the gig- Buffalo Bar is a good bar, but a less good venue. It was pretty fun though, and he is very charismatic. It did seem a bit odd to break up the momentum of the show with some stuff projected onto a sheet that noone could see, though.
