Banning holiday music at holiday concerts

The school district in the town I cover for a community newspaper in New Jersey is even banning songs like "Jingle Bell Rock" because it has the word Christmas in the lyrics. They're banning Hanukkah songs, Kwanza songs, Ramadan songs, all of it. They can't use christmas trees or dreidels in the flyers that go out for the concerts.

They won't even call it a holiday concert- it's the Winter Season Concert. It's right out of a South Park episode. The school district got sick of every religious group complaining they weren't fairly represented so they said fuck you to everybody.

It's the effect of tolerance being pushed to the point where nothing is tolerated. How do you fix it?

for a second I read that as "Redman songs" and it was suddenly much more interesting.
