I was there. Fun show, even though the Quest's sound is butt.

After the concluding line of "Con Queso" ("jump off the stage like 'yee-haw'") someone yelled at him to do it and he was all "naw man, I'm up to 220 now, you don't want that" (paraphrasing from memory). Didn't know he'd gotten that galooty. No wonder dude raps about food so much.

I will take your word as far as Psalm One being good. For the bulk of her set all I heard was "fharhghhh hrrrrr mic haghhhgfff rock" (see above, re: the Quest's sound being butt).

And yes: Ali is F-R-E-S-H fresh fresh fresh.

x-post: Yeah, dude's looking REAL big. Like he strapped a keg to his belly before getting onstage.

You're right about the sound being butt, though; I would have much preferred to see it in First Ave.

...Another highlight: the comical disbelief of Doom's DJ that people weren't banging to all his cuts pre-Doom.

Ali's acapella raps were the hotness.

thanks be to this thread, for without it, my ignorant ass would have allowed mf doom to leave los angeles with me not seeing him.

Ha, I just wanted to yell at that DJ: "PLAY SOMETHING LESS THAN TEN YEARS OLD"

But dude! That wouldn't be REAL!

The security guards liked it, though. So that's nice.
