i've been meaning to pick up a copy of "geto boys"

i love love love "we can't be stopped", so i bought another geto boys album - but instead plumped for "the resurrection". it's a lot more polished, but i find it a yawn-fest (bar the suicidal bushwick track, "i wanna die" or somesuch). it's a very mature album and their personality seems to have faded a little. not enough laughs, fo sho.

uh so, i think "geto boys" would provide more of what i'm after - would i be correct to make this assumption? from what i've read it seems more in the "...stopped" vein - sick humour, griminess etc.

geto boys very much an ilm favourite at the mo.

"geto boys" is probably what you're looking for. it's definitely superior to "the resurrection" - probably my favorite production work of any of their albums, the lyrics are absolutely ridiculous. at least slsk it. and look for the original version of "gangster of love" with the steve miller samples.

yeah fuck the resurrection, if you're going to get anything outside of geto boys or we can't be stopped I'd suggest Til Death Do Us Part. Six Feet Deep is one of my favorite geto boys songs and Bring It On is a fucking awesome posse cut
