watching play UK casually the other day and realise that the charlatans have, astonishingly, made an entirely sublime record. that inert sounding falsetto, country guitar, rolling piano riff and, astonishingly, live-played drum and bass towards the end. i can't listen to anything else, and i got satie for christmas.

One of the best singles of the year if you ask me, and made me look at the album ("Wonderland") in an entirely new light. I always assume the Charlatans have gone bad like all the rest, but in reality they rarely put a foot wrong. "Love is the Key" was pretty shit though...
