Oh yeah, and Jonny Greenwood too.

Though I suppose it might end up being amusing.

WTF?
Oh, and it's nice to have my brain melting seconded too. I guess it's the only reasonable reaction...

15-year-old folk band The Wyrd Sisters are suing Warner Brothers Entertainment Canada, Warner Brothers Records, Pulp's Jarvis Cocker and Radiohead's Phil Selway and Johnny Greenwood for trademark infringement in an Ontario court.

Well, the news is out that we're in a legal battle with Warner Bros. over our band name... The story: One of their lawyers contacted us and threatened to (quote) " Have their army of lawyers shut us down..." unless we agreed to share our band name with them. We thought that was rude. The facts: We own the band name and have for 15 years. WB is using members of Radiohead and Pulp to form their 'wyrd sisters' band. They have been doing extensive advertising about their wyrd sister band. Once this movie comes out, WE will be seen as the people who stole the Harry Potter band name, and we will not look too bright. It's a little late to be changing our name, not to mention very costly. Kim contacted radiohead ( or at least tried to) because radiohead is known as a 'band of/for the people'. She couldn't believe they'd want to be part of the big machinery which just crushes the little people who got in their way. They did not respond. Their management says that we're just trying to make a money grab. We're very, vey sad about all of this. This has been messing us up for quite some time. We've had to cancel tours and delay the release of our new album because we're not sure if we can continue under our name anymore. Stay tuned...
