we've been checkin' the hiphop 9/11 material anyone got more? here's what we got so far: the dates are blog posting dates Dre is in the process of recording 'Kill Bin Laden', which Dre describes as preparing "a pine box for his dead body". 4/10/01 P. Diddy was as animated as anyone onstage that night, goading the audience to grow ever louder. "Check this out, terrorists!" he hollered during an explosive version of "Come With Me" 23/10/01 Many who once overlooked the bravery of the New York police and fire departments now see them in a new light. Jay-Z, who has had his share of run-ins with the cops, is no exception. "The policemen, they're always right there, and they're always in your face. Then something like this happens and you see the real work that they do and you really have a whole different respect for them," he said. "Before, we only saw one thing in the hip-hop community because nothing like this has ever happened. So when you see them actually doing good for people and actually helping people out, you have to respect that." Jay-Z performed "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)" early in the show, the tune's "not guilty" line ringing out ironically less than a week after the rapper pleaded guilty to a stabbing charge in New York. 23/10/01 ...more producers join Bono's "What's Going On" benefit project. A Neptunes-produced hip-hop mix will be among the nine versions available when the Marvin Gaye remake is released October 30. The Neptunes recruited LL Cool J, Fabolous, Da Brat, Mobb Deep, Noreaga, Royce Da 5'9", Queen Latifah, Sonja Blade and Angie Martinez for their "This One's for You Mix." 23/10/01 Both 5 mic albums: U Got Camels and Osama The Don IMG SRC="http://www.rinsemusic.btinternet.co.uk/ugotcamels.jpg" width="300" height="150" ALT="U Got Camels">
